  1. I see that his IsoD is now positive. I like this trend.
  2. The Tribune can't afford the eBay fees.
  3. It's about time O_O and Raisin figure out the automatic rainout for Hill.
  4. I should mention that the article says that there is a chance Canning can still make a stronger bid to show they are serious and get back in the race. I am guessing because of Selig's support for Canning, he should still be considered in the race. That said, I am really surprised their bid is that low. Maybe the ground doesn't want it as much as we thought? Yeah, I didn't expect this.
  5. Actually, this is what I was referring to: That's for sellers without team accounts (season ticket accounts). Those with team accounts do the same, except their tickets are available for instant eDelivery within 10 minutes.
  6. Lee's GB/FB/LD trends are looking much better over the last month or so. His BABIP has increased, as well, yet his power keeps falling. It's a little strange. http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs/525_1B_daily_full_9_20080721.png http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs/525_1B_daily_full_7_20080721.png http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs/525_1B_daily_full_6_20080721.png
  7. If you're talking about print at home tickets through StubHub, they're 100% secure. From what I've read, when someone sells electronic tickets through StubHub, the Cubs will cancel the original barcode and generate a new one that is delivered through StubHub.
  8. I will pay good money for one of those t-shirts.
  9. Unfortunately I don't think you're going to be in much luck. You could always go early and try to grab some SRO, but I think you're stuck with the secondary market.
  10. Yeah, I saw that as well. At least you shouldn't have a problem selling those 4 later on.
  11. I always assumed an ETA was when the player had a reasonable shot to stick on a 25-man roster. That would exclude September call-ups or short-term injury replacements.
  12. Howry's GB/FB/LD percentages are nearly identical to last season, yet he's on pace to give up roughly 1.5x as many HRs. That has been his main problem this season. Of course, those percentages aren't as good as they were a few years ago, but that's not terribly surprising: http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs/237_P_daily_full_9_20080721.png His K/BB is actually at a career best this season, as is his BB/9, yet his BABIP against is a career worst. I think he's been unlucky. There has been one other change, however. His fastball % has dropped from 10.4% and his slider % has increased 13.3% from last season.
  13. The email didn't say. It like won't be different than the general on-sale limit, though. Probably 20 tickets or more.
  14. Presale for the qualifier at Toyota Park: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/040040F3A6A42B13 Tuesday, 10 AM Prices are $25 Endlines; $35 Corners; $45 Sidelines; $58 Midfield; $75 VIP Midfield; $90 VIP Midfield Bench Side; and $150 Front Row Seats General Fan Sections: E6FIRST Trinidad & Tobago Fan Sections: T2FIRST Tickets then become available to Visa® cardholders only on July 25 at 8 a.m., followed by the general public sale on July 28
  15. That's not uncommon for Carlos. His arm dropping down might be, though. I took a look at the data for a game in 2007, but it was blank. I'll have to check a few more out later to see if there's a chart or two from last season.

They do show a slight drop in release point, but was it significant outside of his last start?
  17. Wow. How long has that been the buzz around Wrigley? Do you get the sense that the Cubs view him as a starter in the future? Are they going to let that play out or is there some impatience due to the contract?
  18. I read yesterday that the Fire just released information that it was going to be a bonus game for Fire season ticket holders. They're way behind, but it doesn't look like they've released ticket info for any of the other qualifier matches yet.
  19. There is a difference between being bad over a period of time and being bad for a period of time. You claimed that he's been in a decline since the start of the season. I already showed you that it wasn't true in the last thread. I'm not sure that promoting bizarre conspiracy theories is an effective rebuttal.
  20. He was pitching on 5 days rest. He pitched on 7-12 for Mesa. I meant Michael Phelps. He was pretty rusty, having last pitched a single inning on July 8th. He really got shelled.
  21. I was satisfied. Fort Myers started to tire him out with foul balls as it sounded like he was a little less sharp in the 5th. He walked the last two guys he saw on 4 pitches each. Before that, his control was pretty good.
  22. Well, I don't believe he has pitched in 11 days.
  23. So no out and yet the ump put up with their manager arguing for several minutes?
  24. Rich still has some endurance to build up. Hopefully he can get on a more consistent schedule, but overall I think things were encouraging. He apparently tired towards the end.
