  1. Just give them Marmol for Church straight up.. I dont see why they have to talk 3 days about it
  2. Haha, I dont know about anyone else but the headline on Foxsports.com " Schimdt Happens " I thought that was pretty funny and clever
  3. braves? astros? springfield atoms? Lol, I think atlanta is way east and astros deep south, none are " just south of them" Maybe Milwaukee??? Ben sheets?

  5. Theres no one really " just south" of us besides St Louis.. But who? Ummm... White Sox? Wow I totally forgot about the White Sox
  6. Theres no one really " just south" of us besides St Louis.. But who?
  7. Those guys weren't ready for the show. No one claimed they were. They're not "chumps." They're still developing. Marmol is going to be a stud. I liked Marmol when we first saw him and the next couple times throwing 95-98 MPH and attacking the strike zone..Then when he started for us, he went down to the low 90's and had big time walking and control issues and looked way to uncomfortable to be out there more than 3 innings..keep him in the pen
  8. I agree with you. I can't imagine another year of Z, Hill and whomever is the flavor of the week to fill out the rotation. Exactly..I couldnt stand to see anymore of that revolving garbage of Guzman,Marmol,Waldrond why are you putting Walrond with guys like Guzman and Marmol? Walrond was an emergency starter, just like O'Malley. We didn't have another option. Ok I shouldve meant Mateo...I don't wanna have guys in the rotation with 5,6 ERA's and be down 6-0 in the 4th inning, and trying to "learn" to be in the big leagues..The time is now,we need expirience, consistency and reliability Lilly doesn't really fit the bill on the last two. I want Lilly so long as we get someone else too, but what you're looking for isn't available on the market. I know.we gotta make a trade too..Who knows though, Lilly could come from over there to the NL and be good..He won 15 games on a team with no sticks..He could come to Wrigley and win 17 games..well just have to wait and see how it plays out

  11. Screw relying on rookies like last year..Chumps like Guzman and Marmol had all year and tons of starts to get expirience and correct themselves..They didnt do a single thing and we ended up in the basement...Im not gunna wait for them to prove themselves..That could take til lthe year 2014..Who knows, they might be awsome down in triple A but they will be nobodys in the majors..I dont care about money, just go out and get Lilly, just to have someone with expirience and a transsition from the AL to the NL, he will be way better than both of them..Guzman and Marmol belong in the pen.nowhere else
  12. Ted Lilly still isn't sure where he'll be pitching in 2007. But it won't be in Toronto. Lilly crossed the Blue Jays off his list Wednesday and has narrowed his possible destinations to the Cubs and Yankees, his agent, Larry O'Brien, told ESPN.com at the winter meetings. O'Brien, who is seeking a four-year, $40 million deal, plans to meet with Yankees GM Brian Cashman on Wednesday night. well I hope we get him since Schimdt is gone...We cant come out of the meetings with no one..Lilly would be a good number 3..Hopefully we get him and maybe swing a trade for someone to be our numbr 2
  13. Looks like he really did want to stay on the west coast
  14. If we sign both Gil and Lilly, hopefully they can come over from the AL and do a better over here...At least theres no way in hell we can we as bad as last year...
  15. We all cant be that dissappointed...It was kinda expected..We knew he really wanted to stay on the west coast..Even though it sucks, we gotta still sign the best of the rest
  16. Im just gunna guess he wants to stay in his home state and signs with the Mariners..If so, theres nothin else we can do about it
  17. Marmol sucks..I dont know why, I just don't like the guy...Hil land him are on totally different levels...You gotta be kidding me..How do you not trade Marmol for Church already??? That shouldve been done yesterday
  18. Rotoworld courtesy Brewers.mlb.com The Brewers kicked the tires on free agent Jason Schmidt, but they got the idea he wasn't interested in playing in Milwaukee. Schmidt would prefer to stay on the West Coast, though he is believed to be considering the Cubs and Cardinals.
  19. Boston will win the World Series this year... their pitching is going to be awsome..and signing Drew and prolly Lugo, and if they keep Manny...They will win it all
  20. well Its good to know he atleast tried...It looks like hes going to let no one else get Lilly but him The Cubs have reportedly tweaked their previous offer to Ted Lilly, who could settle on a new team before the close of the winter meetings. Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown said this afternoon that a deal between the Cubs and Lilly remains likely. The Jays have joined the Cubs in offering Lilly a four-year deal, and the Mariners, Giants and Yankees are also supposed to be in the mix. Still, it's looked like Lilly to the Cubs for about two days now. Why the hell cant he be like this for Schimt??
  21. So with the Padres getting Maddux, thats one less suitor for Schmit..Comeon Jim go get him already
  22. From MLB.com Aaron Rowand of the Phillies could be a target for the Cubs, who are seeking a center fielder. No Thank you..Why would Hendry be looking for another right hander?? Dosent make sense..Only if he could put up the number he did in '04 with the Sox id be interested..
  23. I feel hes not the answer for the Cubs, but, I feel bad for the guy,Some people are out there are just wackjobs..Its just wrong to call and harass someone or yell racial stuff at him..Remember its just baseball.. Also the guy hit .285 and hit 27 HR's and had one of his best years ever here..I don't think anyone would want to play anywhere where that stuff is happening to them
  24. He was asked where he would like to see himself next year...He said filling out the remaining years on his contract here sinc ehe mad e commitment...interview over
  25. Sound slike he really dosent want to be here...Says he had a rough time but got through it..Fans made it tough, said he got phone calls
