  1. Yeah, like any of those 3 deals would happen. If they were dumb enough to trade Kazmir for Victor Zambrano, anything is possible. They have been roasted for that trade. But they are pretty stupid, so if you offer them Maddux and a low level for Milledge and make sure the media hears about it, I'm sure Minaya would feel pressured into doing it. Rusch for Diaz could also work, since he never plays.
  2. These two make no sense. But yeah, its about time to fire Dusty and get some of these scrubs out of here.
  3. Can we trade Guzman for Dunn now? Or was that Hill for Dunn? I'll trade both and Bynum for Dunn and Harang!
  4. Who would have thought that out of Hill, Guzman, and Marshall that Marshall would be the only one that doesnt enjoy being bad at baseball?
  5. I don't know if theres every been a Cub thats annoyed me this much. Pierre blows.
  6. Pierre needs to hit his first homer of the year here.
  7. If Hairsuck doesn't hit a 3 run homer here it wont matter.
  8. I guess you enjoy seeing Bynum and Perez on this team! Did your Glendon Rusch Jersey come in the mail yet? Just kiddin :D
  9. Exclamation/excitement over the new Nintendo system? :P http://www.ytmnd.com/
  10. Hindsight is 20-20. Most people didn't want to risk $5MM-$6MM on such an injury-prone player. No one doubts Nomar's ability when healthy. Hey, some of us advocated retaining Nomar during the offseason. That ain't hindsight. :) I wanted Nomah back, but I would have been po'ed at the start of the year when he was on the DL.
  11. I don't make all of the moves at once. By the trade deadline is when I would want them all done.
  12. We already had one. Todd Walker. He should have been leading off last year because he was the best player we could have put there, but I personally don't think Walker is a good leadoff man. A .333 OBP playing in one of the best offenses in the history of the game doesn't cut it for me. .290/.348/.441/.802 cuts it anywhere for me. Walker rakes.
  13. Angel pitches 9 shut out, hitless innings. The Cubs, however, strand 14 and don't score a run. Neifi trys to steal home with 0 outs and the bases loaded, but fails. In the 10th, Dusty tells Guzman to "get out there and blank em again". Guzman throws one pitch and his right arm falls off. He brings in Rusch because he is crafty, and the next batter homers.
  14. DFA - Perez, Bynum, Rusch, Blanco. Call up - Pie, Ryu, Soto, Theriot. Trade - Pierre for the best possible prospects (if you can't get some solid prospect(s) for him, hold on to him and offer him arby) Jones for anything, eat some salary if needed. If/when Pagan is back, send him down. Wood comes back, send down Ryu. Prior comes back, send down Hill/Guzman. Miller comes back, send down Novoa. Sign a bat in right (Lee plz) for 2007.
  15. That would have bounced off Bynum's head into the stands.
