    Len and Bob haven't been able to capture that magic feeling for me yet. Some games they let the score/situation get to them and then get too dull. If the Cubs were better, I think they would be better ... I hope that makes sense.

    I think we should start an offical NSBB Secondary Team if the Cubs really bomb, so the site doesn't get overwhelmed with negativity. A team that scores alot and is fun to watch, or somthing. This probably won't go over well.

    I was with some Philly fans this weekend and man, have they given up on that team. They are truly sick of it, and want to blow the whole thing up. And I think ownership is sensitive to the lack of interest in the team now. I think Burrell or Abreu could be had. Well being realistic, Pie isn't going anywhere. Neither is Hill in all probability. Is their a package we could possibly put together good enough to net either one? The answer is definitely yes. And I would not have a problem trading Pie and/or Hill. That being said, there is no way Hendry trades either. What is a package without using those two that could net Abreu/Burrel? We can't trade Marshall. Maybe he isn't as good as he has been, but this kid could be a STUD. Prior, Zambrano, and Marshall could be our front of the rotation for the next 3-4 years. Guzman, Jones (we pay 1/2 of the salary the first two years), and Harvey.

    I don't believe it has anything to do with caring. I just don't think they are capable of being any better. That's the depressing part. Certain players, to me, look like they dont care. Maybe it is just lack of talent, but they almost seem unwilling to work the pitcher. They hack and hack and don't make adjustments. New coaching staff next year plz.

    I can honestly say I'm not watching any of these games. It's gotten that bad where I'm not going to waste my time. I MAY watch Hill pitch for an inning or two but thats it. It's not even how bad they are, its almost like they don't care. Its depressing watching this team!

    I think Cabrera and Abreu could be had right now for GOOD packages. Would the Marlins go for Pie, Williams, and Ryu? Doubt it, but its worth a try. Would the Phillies do it? I think they could consider it. Maybe we would need to replace one of the pitchers with Hill/Guz.

    We've given up less than 7 runs 2 times in the last 6 games. We've scored more than 2 runs 1 time in the last 6 games. And yet we stand at 14-11. As I said it could be far worse! It could be, and it will be if things don't change for the better really soon. The overall record is a nice distraction from the troubles that are hounding this team, but that doesn't mean those troubles don't exist. I agree...Then there really is no need to expect anything either. I'm only hoping for .500 and hope to get guys healthy and see what happens. Even with a healthy Lee (and when he comes back he wont be 100%) and Wood/Prior we are a bad team if the offense continues to be this bad. 4 runs in 4 games against the Brewers and Pirates people. 4!!!

    The Cubs have 22 hits and 4 runs in the last 4 games while being outscored 34 - 4. It's only a matter of time before the wheels fall off of this team.

    Ummm, Zambrano? I forgot a 5+ ERA was any good. I know its early. This is just painfull to watch! I forgot that 5 games made a pitcher not worth a damn after 3 years of being one of the top 5 in the league. I was talking about so far this season.
