    It's amazing how Marshall and Maddux are not only the only pitchers (save Demp) worth a damn on this team, but there the only ones (save Murt) that can work a pitcher.

    No. If he goes to get Wilson, he doesn't get the runner at 2nd. It should have been a DP. The umps just blew it. If you make sure you get the lead runner, they can't get a cheap run. I'd rather make sure we get the runner at 3rd than take a risk at a DP and let the man at 2nd advance to 3rd. No. You have to expect the umpire will do his job. It wasn't as if Wilson took a single step outside the baseline. Aramis made the right play. You can't expect the umpires to do anything. Always get the lead runner. Our offense is brutal.

    At least if the Pirates did that in Pitt there would have only been 20 fans there to see it ... Nonsense. We're getting a lot of fans these days. Remember, we have the All-Star game, that means that season tickets were very good this year. And, PNC Park is wonderful. People go just because of it. If we were still at 3 rivers cookie cutter, than, yeah, 20 people only. Your right. PNC is probably my third favorite park in the league right now. Too bad the Pirates aren't winning much right now, that park deserves some spotlight. On a diffrent note, our offense is badddd.

    uhh :shock: I suppose I'm being to nice to Pierre. Pierre traded plz. so after one month you are going to give up on the guy? He's proved to be a force when he can get on. ARam continues to struggle. I had nothing to give up on since I never wanted anything to do with Pierre, but your point withstands. He is painfull to watch when hes grounding out 2-3 times a game, though. I wonder what the heck is wrong with Ramirez?
