    Dude, why would we trade for Bellhorn man? He takes too many pitches. It's almost like he likes to clog the bases.

    I'm just hoping Jaque doesn't take it upot himself to try to "prove" he deserves to bat 4th and go 0-5 with 4 K's, while trying to hit every pitch 700 feet.

    When I Dusty is trying to get fired! Yay! Would you care to elaborate ? This seems like a pretty reasonable lineup to me. Jones cleanup? Murton batting 6th? Horrible! Can't blame Dusty for batting Jock clean-up. He's mashing righties to the tune of .355/.579 (OBP/SLG). Frankly, I think this is the best possible line-up under the circumstances (this still doesn't forgive Dusty for starting Bynum in consecutive days and sitting both Murton and Cedeno yesterday). I didn't realize Jones was hitting rightes THAT well. We really need a platoon partner for the man, though. Murton batting 6th really steams me though. If anything, it should be Pierre, Cedeno, Walker, Jones, Murton, Barret, Ram, Hairston, Marshall.

    Then let's just shut Wood now for the season. He will probably get hurt anyway. Isn't it about tiem for Tommy John 2? Wait he changed his mechanics! Call me naive, but...he's had his shoulder operated on, his knee operated on, his elbow operated on...he's never needed any one part operated on twice. There's not much left to fix on him. Here's to hoping he's healthy for the rest of his career! *note the key word "hoping..." He will be healthy with another team cause the Cubs aren't paying him next year. But at least his injury is legit. I thought calfzilla would be able to work through his arm pain. If the Cubs let Wood and Maddux go next year they better sign Zito or Pettite with that fat 19 mill they will be saving.

    Kevin Millar plz. I'd rather have Millar at 1B and Walker at 2nd than Mabry/Hairston/Bysuck/Neifi starting.

    2-3, 4.58 Peavy's numbers this year. Coupled with the fact that he is due, and this offense sucks, we will register 2 hits in a 4-0 loss tonight.

    can someone please tell me what happened? Bynum appeared poised to catch an easy fly ball, but then at that last second, he let it drop. He then turned to the Cubs bench, did a crotch chop, and tore off his Cubs jersey, revealing a Padres jersey underneath. Then he hit Bob Howry with a steel chair and posed for the crowd. *Derrek Lee's music hits* DERREK LEE STUNNER ON BYNUM!
