  1. Well, WSI has a forum dedicated to the "loveable losers". And it is an extremely popular forum.
  2. To end the eight inning Jermaine Dye hit a ball to deep left center. Kotsay makes the catch and gets a bit of a shower in doing so. I recall hearing that Sox fans do not do that and it is primarily a act taken upon by people in the bleachers at Wrigley. I guess Cub fans are influencing White Sox fans.
  3. Patterson just got hit by a pitch for those keeping tabs.
  4. Speaking of SF, one thing I noticed when I visited what was then PacBell Park was that a lot of Giants' fans collect pins that they wear on their hats. Pins of all sorts in honor of Mays, Bonds, McCovey, the 89 Giants so on and so forth.
  5. Maybe Corey just needed to get away from Gail Fischer.
  6. Is Froemming the one who made anti semetic comments?
  7. The U.S. census Well apparently he satisfied them enough to make him a citizen and also survive the post 9-11 age MLB age revelations. It was sarcasm. But that being said, I don't think he contacted(or "satisfied") the US Census Bureau to become a citizen. If he did then he went about it all wrong and he is not really a citizen. DEPORTATION!!!!!
  8. If I'm Dempster, I think I would dread making that call to Ozzie just for the simple fact that I would find it extremely hard to understand what Ozzie is saying through his thick accent. Maybe his son, the translator, may be helpful in this correspondence.
  9. This might explain it. The resembalance is undeniable. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j163/Niner74/JoeyCora.jpghttp://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j163/Niner74/chihuahua.jpg
  10. However, the problem is that they are losing 2-0.
  11. All three were the trade for Pierre. No, Nolasco, Pinto, and Mitre were dealt for Pierre, Wellemeyer got shipped off for a minor leaguer before the season. You're right I was thinking of all four. I forgot Wellemeyer was seperate.
  12. All three were the trade for Pierre.
  13. He has 3 sons. I might be a bit off on the ages, but in the area of 22, 20, and 14. I suppose that's better than what I was picturing...a herd of kids all under 10 years of age swarming out of the dugout, screaming and swearing like their father. It's still [expletive] either way. No, you're thinking of the Guillen family pinata parties.
  14. He has 3 sons. I might be a bit off on the ages, but in the area of 22, 20, and 14.
  15. But then you would've missed out on hearing the Marlins announcers mock our team. The freakin' Marlins announcers giving us grief?!? What have the Marlins' announcers said?
  16. Yep. "can of corn" would have been more fitting on that particular play.
  17. Agreed...I call BS on AJ Pieralphabet. I watched him say that on PTI and you could tell he was making that s*** up. He also said on PTI that all this is affecting his 9 month old daughter. Then I think he realized that was a foolish statement and quickly explained that it is affecting his wife and in turn that affects his daughter. Such a matyr.
  18. After yesterday's game, Mark Schanowski the Comcast studio host even said that, "you get the feeling that even when AJ was a kid and his mom caught him with his hand in the cookie jar he would say, 'no mom that is not my hand'."
  19. I happen to like Rowand, but I think he is bit off in his assessment. Here's a guy who is a huge Bears fan and is asked about his devotion for them considering he is from California. In his reasoning he always brings up the devotion of Bears fans and the atmosphere at Soldier Field. Well, the Bears have had some pretty dismal teams within the last ten years but people still came out and Soldier Field is far from the most sober place to be. I know that football is only once a week, but why applaud the devotion of Bear fans and their drunkenness, but criticize the Cub fans for it? This is on the assumption you're calling all the bleacher patrons Cub fans.
  20. Amen. The trip has got to be costing Vance some money and time. For what in return? pretty clearly, Vance's motive is to gain a frivelous lawsuit from AJP. And I think its a wonderful idea. Sue him for lots plz. After winning that lawsuit, a generous donation to Cubs Care would be in order.
  21. Even though they may disagree with the suspension handed to Mabry, he might just serve immediately and have Barrett contest his suspension. Therefore, the suspensions are staggered and there would be no need to bring up a catcher for a few days.
  22. During the early 90's Hawk used to watch NASCAR while calling the Sox game. It came to a point where he was more interested in the NASCAR and resulted in a lot of dead air for the Sox broadcast. I'm not sure why he stopped watching the races in the booth. He may have been told to cut it out.
  23. As Pierzynski was about to cross home plate on his homer he pointed to the sky just as Zambrano does at the end of his pitched innings. So then Zambrano pointed at Pierzynski. It looked like Z said you have something to say say to my face.
