  1. Oddly enough he is throwing more strikes by the inning (with help of course).
  2. 0 for his last 16. Bennett is the second coming of Yadier Molina.....against the Cubs
  3. Portraits are ridiculous Interesting that a lot of the locals don't really like the new park. The main complaints are that the ticket prices have skyrocketed; foul poles too wide blocking views, not enough bathrooms, too many seats in the sun and an open stadium that dissipates the sound. They swapped out the foul poles for skinnier ones. I heard they were trying to sell the ones they replaced. Not exactly sure what someone would do with them except use it on a little league field. Or put it a top the house for lightning to strike.
  4. Thanks for reminding me. Two TVs in the basement, including one with PIP is such a great thing. That's how the bookies do it.
  5. I agree. Dusty needs to shake things up with him. He might perform that way. Womack and Walker can leadoff.
  6. AS Harrelson would call it...a duck snort. wtf? Ive never heard that Yep, that is one of his favorites.
  7. AS Harrelson would call it...a duck snort.
  8. I think Walker should have made a look to Edmonds and he still would have had time to get the runner at second, but it is hard to fault Walker he made a nice play.
  9. Maddux is getting beaten up by a Pujoless Cardinal team.
  10. I'm posting what I had in the other game thread for this game since I'm assuming the other one will be deleted. Well since Maddux has two wins against the Cards this year, it would be nice to see him get his third. I would love to see him come with his phenomenal stuff. So good in fact, that Tony LaRussa and company ask the ump to check the ball again.
  11. Here is an article about Kyle Drabek from ESPN. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/draft2006/news/story?id=2466618 It pretty much sums up everything already mentioned in the previous posts. The article goes on to explain that Drabek is possibly the best pitcher in the draft and possibly the best position player, but will probably fall to middle of the first round due to demeanor and his off field problems. I don't really follow the draft and I was curious if the article is correct and he was to fall to the middle of the first round, should the Cubs take the gamble and select him with the #13 pick?
  12. True....especially the Darry Kile death. I can't believe I forgot that.
  13. Just kidding. But there is definitely a fair amount of injuries in this series over the past few years. Today Pujols goes down. Granted he has been battling a back problem all season. Nomar last season. Bill Mueller a few seasons back. These are just a few that come to mind. I know that the Cubs and Cardinals are in the same division and play each other enough during the season where as it is likely that injuries will occur, but you never really see this major injuries in the Cubs/Brewers or Cubs/Pirates series. Just a thought. Also, all these injuries occurred in St. Louis.
  14. Wood? Wood is puhed back again. He pitches Tuesday against Houston and Maddux goes tomorrow.
  15. 6-2 rercord in the season series against the Cards so far.
  16. Only the Cubs can make Molina look good offensively....3 RBI's for him today!
  17. Aramis will never live that head shot down.
  18. I guess Dusty figures Barrett will get enough rest when thatsuspension needs to be served.
  19. He's being consistent. He wants Neifi up at the plate. Don't ask me why.
