No, those teams combined are in the range of 145 million while the Cubs are 95 million. Not far off considering, but still they add up to more.

Again, there's absolutely no excuse for MLB not suspending Guillen after he makes those comments and behaves the way he did in the dugout. The one thing that sort of shocks me is that they don't fine him for his cursing. I'm not saying they necesarily should, but I think if this was the NBA and it was as consistent with a head coach as it is with Ozzie then David Stern would be laying down the fines. I'm not really in favor of it, but I would hope that someday Ozzie comes to realize that it sounds rather foolish when he drops these words practically in every sound bite. And also that there are kids watching.

Along those line Nolasco threw a nice game against the Braves tonight. I didn't watch, but saw he was player of the game so I'm assuming it was a "nice game". I think it was something along the lines of seven innings, five hits, five strikeouts, one earned run. -
No, Buerhle didn't say that because he hates the rangers. It is just because he extremely stupid. And is a gigantic prick. FYI: Sox rank 10th in attendance this year and - get this - rank TWENTY NINTH in road attendance, just 50 people a game ahead of Anaheim. Just over 55% of the stadiums are filled when the defending champs come to town. Now THAT'S devotion. :roll: I think it is due to Hawk Harrelson. Most people who follow baseball probably have heard/seen him on WGN TV and realize they want nothing to do with anything he's a part of. :lol:

The Marlins have caught up to the Cubs too - the Cubs could be in the NL basement by the weekend. There is still hope. Tony Gwynn picked us to go to the World Series!!! :D

That is what this will continue to be. They dug themselves a large enough hole where they are stuck where they are in the standings. They will win 2 here and then proceed to lose three. Although I can see them only winning one game in the next two series versus the Tigers and Indians. These two teams are going to put on a hitting clinic against the Cubs.

Yeah the only difference between this game and the other 2 games of the series is that Zambrano kept the Astros from scoring. The Cubs offense was pointless in this series. If they are going to suck, they might as well not bat and save the people watching 1.5 hours. See what happens when Z doesn't throw over 120 pitches. :wink:

I think the Cubs should present Brad Ausmus with a silver slugger award. They give up a lot of hits to him. Other teams are able to contain him.
