If the trade helps or could possibly help the Cubs the trade needs to be made even if that trade in some way improves the Sox or presents the Sox with possible talent. I live in Chicago and have my entire life. Beyond that my entire family are White Sox fans. The exceptions being myself and my father. We hear non stop from my uncles and cousins about the great 2005 and now 2006 White Sox. We are forced to wallow in the Cubs' misery. On Christmas my father and I had to sit there as my family members were wearing Chicago White Sox Santa Claus caps. Yes these: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j163/Niner74/SoxSantaHat.jpg Beyond that I work on the southside and am constantly reminded that I am a Cub fan as they laugh that jovial laugh. All this and I still believe that if there is a benefit for the Cubs or a risk that is worth taking for the Cubs then they should go ahead and make the move even if it helps out the White Sox. By the way, Garland was excellent for the Sox last year and in particular in the playoffs. But, re signing him to the contract they just did in the off season may hamper them in future signings. This re signing may be something that haunts Kenny Williams if he keeps up the way he has this year.
