I guess I don’t feel bad on the whole. We probably deserved to lose, so, fine. And we got Caleb to have a couple redemption drives, so that’s good for him.
It’s quite natural to iterate on the formation with Kramer on the goal line play, it’s actually somewhat necessary in order to not be too predictable, but I probably wouldn’t have done it there.
I fear this game will be very similar to the Texans game: a heroic effort by the defense but unfortunately there is just way too much offensive dysfunction that it simply doesn’t matter
the shocking thing is Caleb can still win it, but he has shown very few signs of life
He had several games on this level of bad, but more importantly I mean how Caleb is playing - completely unsure, scrambling out of the pocket, and then running instead of throwing (or throwing incredibly inaccurately)
That incompletion may be the game. Unfortunately you’re giving Washington excellent field position so they’re virtually guaranteed points. And we’re still not moving the ball at all.
Oline is playing poorly but basically this is just a bad game from Caleb. He’s not in rhythm with anyone and looks unsure. So it goes, it’s part of the learning curve.
Ugh.
the worst thing I can imagine is we give up a TD here and then our offense decides to wake up. That will be maximum pain, so I assume that is what will happen.
I hate how much this game feels like a Classic Bears game. I just wanted something that felt like modern NFL football. But we are only allowed small glimpses of that, I suppose.
The baffling decision to put Amagadjie in there cost the team 3 points for no reason.
You gotta get someone in there who can execute at a pro level ability
