  1. Lmao this game is hilarious. Everyone but Caleb is combining to form a Volton of “lose the game”
  2. Caleb deserves so much better than this
  3. Lmao just fire Eberflus mid game dude
  4. I want to see Roshon more on early downs. Just in general I prefer the way he runs on early downs between the tackles. But it’ll be interesting to see what he can do as the main back if Swift can’t go.
  5. It's almost unfair that they are forcing the Bears to play these games. I should be happy to at least get to watch Caleb play but man, they've sucked so much joy out of the game from me.
  6. If I cared more, I’d be upset at the double standard of the refs calling “”””leverage”””” on us in the Arizona game (that of course completely changed the complexion of the game) and not calling the exact same thing (in a much higher leverage spot!) on the Packers. i somehow deluded myself into thinking we were getting the bad juju out last year, but instead it got worse.
  7. At this moment, Caleb Williams has had 6 pretty stinker games (and in one of those stinkers, he led what should have been a GW drive), 3 unquestionably good games, and 1 arguably ok game (Rams game I'd say is ambiguous). So, he's definitely not been top top - but just from the eye test I am pretty happy with where he's at. The numbers are rough on him, but that's not really the only thing I trust when it comes to evaluating QBs. BUT, he still has more bad/mediocre games at this point than good ones, and those are just facts we gotta deal with.
  8. I want to be very clear here: I think you absolutely take another play. You try to center the ball and you get as close as you can for Santos. But it’s not a guaranteed positive play, given Caleb was sacked twice on that drive alone. I don’t think it’s guaranteed to have benefited the Bears.
  9. At the end of the day, I don’t even find the particular move from Eberflus to not run another play that impactful. It’s very likely it wouldn’t have gotten the Bears significantly closer, and the kick would have missed anyway. Like, he still should have done it, but that specific choice isn’t the end of the world for me. no, my biggest problem with Matt Eberflus is that he is somehow a black hole of bad luck and bad vibes and horrible things continuously happen to his teams as a rate I’ve never before seen in any sport. I don’t think I’ve seen more unlucky, bizarre, inexplicable things happen to a coach in so short of time to cause his teams to lose. He needs to go, he needs to take his bad stink away, forever. I don’t know what it is exactly that is causing it, and frankly I don’t need to know. Go, begone!
  10. It's kind of amazing to look at the Steelers and see a team that has below average talent at QB that manages to maneuver itself to an 8-2 record no matter what. They are really the bizarro Bears - managing to do what the Bears always say they want to do (win by good defense, running game, special teams and coaching) and never do.
  11. It simply astonishing how this team finds ways to lose. I’ve been firmly on the “the rest of the season doesn’t really matter, it’s all about Caleb Williams development” for a few weeks now, but good god. The Bears franchise doesn’t deserve its fans, it really doesn’t.
  12. Incredible that Caleb has led what should have been two game winning drives this season. And the Bears have refused to give them to him.
  13. It felt too much like 2018 for me to get excited when they were kicking the field goal. What was the most important thing? Turning Caleb around. They did that. Too bad they couldn’t give him a W on top, but they succeeded at that. And Eberflus just has bad vibes and needs to go. Let his stinky vibes go.
  14. So I turned the game on this defense really loves to collapse immediately after the offense does something good
  15. The -5.5 line is making me look all over for promo codes so I can wager a huge amount of money on the Packers honestly
  16. It would be conceivably Bears-y to win this game, after they’ve destroyed their playoff hopes and mangled their team and are a huge mess. But not Bears-y enough to overcome the centrifugal force of Packers magic, which defies space and time. It, much like Cardinals pixie dust, is an unshakeable law of the universe. For some reason, unknown to us mere mortals, we’re not allowed to beat the Packers. And, for similar unknown, mythical reasons, they are always guaranteed very good quarterback play while we get bums. If we try to defy these laws, we are punished for it. Such is the way of things, and it was foolish and arrogant of us to expect different.
  17. Even if the team stays bottomed out, the odds they end up with a one or two wins are still quite high. It's just football. Weird horsefeathers happens. They could lose out, but I'd bet against it.
  18. Agreed! If they end up 6-11 and Caleb is looking closer to the Jax-Car game Caleb, I'll feel good about where the team is going. The season will still be under expectations, but the arrow will be directed upwards.
  19. It sucks that now, with the division x2 and Seattle and San Fran left on the schedule, that matching last years record would actually be great effort. That’s what happens when you blow that Washington game, lay a turd against the Cardinals, and collapse utterly against one of the worst teams in the league, at home. Maybe we should be thankful though? If they were 6-3 coming to this point and gutted out a 9-8 record to end the season, they probably would have retained Eberflus, even if the level of play was exactly the same. Still feels bad to look at everything and see 7-10 as the absolute ceiling. (Clearly I was very wrong when I ridiculed posters for saying that 2 weeks ago. I’ll eat that crow)
  20. There's a way to be a soft-spoken coach that is at the same time respected. Lovie Smith managed that for about 8 years before things fell apart on him. Clearly, Eberflus is not that kind of guy. Of course, all the Shouty Guy Coaches have been also awful for the Bears ever since Ditka. There's no winning.
  21. I mean, I expect the Bears offense to improve somewhat because its almost impossible for it to get worse. But I also expect the Packers to put about 45 on the Bears. I will not be watching this game.
  22. One thing we do as sports fans is hear some unconfirmed rumor, say to ourselves 'well, I gotta take this with a grain of salt' and then utterly believe the entire thing I still haven't even seen the report of the report, just you guys talking about it
  23. Where are these reports?
