  1. Everyone get prepared for how crappy the sportswriting is gonna be in the next few days: ""omgomgomg the grit and gritness of the cubs outdid the gritty grit grit of the sox. this is the turning point of the season for gritgrigrigrit"
  2. Lee is clearly not in the...swing of things.
  3. Hell, If Lee is available, pinch hit for Jones please. If Lou keeps Jones in against a lefty i'm gonna flip.
  4. Lame. Maybe if we get swept by the White Sox someone will get fired. Nah, I'm too hopeful.
  5. Cesar Izturis shouldn't be on a major league team.
  6. This is one of the most dissapointing days in sports since the year 2003.
  7. Yeah, this season is definitely over.
  8. Stop watching the Cubs this year, they don't deserve your viewership. That was disgusting. Instead of salvaging a series split instead of a win they should have gotten, they choked away another 4 run lead. Pathetic.
  9. Hahahahahahha This is little league ball here, popping out to the 3b with a bunt
  10. We should bring in Dempster for the 2 inning close next inning.
  11. Ohman in to potentially blow the game.
  12. arrrrrrrrrgh Look at how easily we could have won this series? (i'm not assuming a win here) the Mets have not outclassed us by any measure.
  13. not really. they shouldn't have won this game. they are overachieving just to make it close. sooner or later the spurs were gonna take over or at least make it very tense Well, they were up by 7 halfway through the 4th. I know they don't have the depth, but you can't blow a lead like that at home. They kinda got screwed on the suspensions situation. Doesn't excuse the choking, but, damn, they really did.
  14. Wouldn't we be the higher seed (or at least have the better record, which is all that matters), and thus have home court?
  15. i don't care. the bears overpaid him in the first place based on 2 or 3 games. he should feel lucky that he's starting, i doubt anyone would give us anything for him. Is he playing the Giants this year? No? Oh, so he wont have his usual 4 sack game against them?
  16. Yeah, the level of discontent is starting to concern me a little bit. Blah blah blah, the Bears need to keep pace with certain teams, need to run the team under the cap, and in order to do so they have to be a little rude to some players. Its called reality. This wont affect play. In fact, I can't ever remember the first time that "discontent" has ever truly effected anything. The effect that T.O. has ever had on a team has been completely overstated. They are professional athletes, they'll play.
  17. Should I be surprised that the cubs are being 1 hit by Jorge Sosa? Of course not.
  18. Bulls actually have a very good shot of stealing this one from Detroit. Its such a damn shame they dropped game 3, a mistake that no team should be able to survive, but they've found a way. Take care of business at home, and let the chips fall where they may in game 7. Rock on.
  19. How hard do opposing hitters try when they are down by 4+ runs anyway? Nice win cubs, this game shoulda guaranteed us at least a split, but the way things went yesterday...
  20. Once they get ARod and Cabrera, sure. I'd just go Lee Cabrera ARod Ramirez junk junk junk junk I'd still lead the league in runs. Did Soriano quit? He's part of the junk.
  21. Don't even start thinking about it. Either the Mets or the Braves are gonna get it.
