  1. Creative play, Lee, got the job done.
  2. How old are you and do you like 80s music? Gotcha.
  3. Am I the only person who doesn't get teh IWSMAN thing?
  4. I'm glad we're working Sheets' pitch count up, but we're not squaring up on some pitches that are good to hit and his control isn't spectacular. That and Zambrano still worries me a tad.
  5. WHAT HOW IS THAT A STRIKE AND NOT THAT OTHER PITCH
  6. I'm still surprised how far Rickie Weeks' ball went, that wasn't a good swing at all on it. Is it really flying out of there today? We might have some problems if it is.
  7. God damnit damnit. I don't want to see Ohman on ths team again.
  8. Imagine the ratings if it was on WGN
  9. I said the same thing a couple days ago. The Reds don't have a chance. Hopefully by the time we get them they will have realized it. Isn't that when they are most dangerous?
  10. For what its worth, I had a dream the Cubs won tonight.
  11. Here at U of I, its probably 40-30-30 Cubs - Cards - Sox
  12. Desperation on the Brewers side really helps optimism for us. This is a pretty big gamble in starting Sheets, hopefully it doesn't pan out for the Brewers. It just sucks that whenever we should knock a guy around we end up getting shut out or something. I have a feeling Sheets will struggle with control, and I'm afraid our hitters just wont let themselves get ahead in counts. But again, I still think we drop a big crooked number on Sheets in the first couple innings. It sure would help if the Cubs approach Sheets as opponents seem to approach Zambrano - take, take, take and let him pitch himself into trouble. 14th in Walks in the National League. :?
  13. I'll be extremely surprised if it's a blowout. Both teams should be able to rack up the points. Illinois' receivers need to prove they can hold on to the ball before I believe it. Fixed.
  14. Go Illini!

  16. I have a feeling we'll pounce on Sheets early and drop 5 on him. They are rushing his start because they are getting anxious.
  17. His OBP is still sub-.330 So yeah, he still sucks.
  18. I wish Alfonso Soriano and Theriot would switch hitting styles. I"m tired of seeing Theriot calmly watch balls go right down the pipe on the first pitch, and then have Soriano swing at complete junk.
