  1. Imagine the ratings if it was on WGN
  2. I said the same thing a couple days ago. The Reds don't have a chance. Hopefully by the time we get them they will have realized it. Isn't that when they are most dangerous?
  3. For what its worth, I had a dream the Cubs won tonight.
  4. Here at U of I, its probably 40-30-30 Cubs - Cards - Sox
  5. Desperation on the Brewers side really helps optimism for us. This is a pretty big gamble in starting Sheets, hopefully it doesn't pan out for the Brewers. It just sucks that whenever we should knock a guy around we end up getting shut out or something. I have a feeling Sheets will struggle with control, and I'm afraid our hitters just wont let themselves get ahead in counts. But again, I still think we drop a big crooked number on Sheets in the first couple innings. It sure would help if the Cubs approach Sheets as opponents seem to approach Zambrano - take, take, take and let him pitch himself into trouble. 14th in Walks in the National League. :?
  6. I'll be extremely surprised if it's a blowout. Both teams should be able to rack up the points. Illinois' receivers need to prove they can hold on to the ball before I believe it. Fixed.
  7. Go Illini!

  9. I have a feeling we'll pounce on Sheets early and drop 5 on him. They are rushing his start because they are getting anxious.
  10. His OBP is still sub-.330 So yeah, he still sucks.
  11. I wish Alfonso Soriano and Theriot would switch hitting styles. I"m tired of seeing Theriot calmly watch balls go right down the pipe on the first pitch, and then have Soriano swing at complete junk.
  12. Soriano does exactly what they want him to do. Why does he keep doing that?
  13. Those chances to win are gonna drop precipitously when we fail to take the lead.
  14. I have a feeling the Cubs will make a game of this this inning.
  15. They tell you a lot more than the faulty and biased human memory does. Anecdotal evidence doesn't stand up against statistical evidence.
  16. Nice pitch Hill. If this is his last inning, so be it, he's pitched about as well as I could expect him, and hasn't really caught many breaks .
  17. They are at least gonna keep him for the next out of next inning. Too bad there is absolutely no chance we can hit him at all.
  18. Suppan makes bunting look easy. :(
  19. That has got to be one of the most pathetic "base hits" i've ever seen. Obviously it was against the cubs, and obviously it scored 2.
  20. also thanks to the two guys after him who made outs with two runners on base If Rich put down the bunt then Soriano would have got the Sac Fly. 1-1 Tie. Assuming every sequence of events goes as they did. You can't assume that.
  21. Technically the man on last inning wasn't "stranded" because he was part of the double play.
  22. Probably a single by Hill and then a pop out by Soriano. wrong good job JJ Jeez, i'm SORRY
