  1. Ah, the old "single" and then "double play" Yes, that one is definitely in order, Cubs.
  2. Wait, so this Soto character can hit for power and plays good defense. But goshdarnit, I WANT KENDALL STARTING Now lets see how we strand him at second. This better be creative, Cubs, you are boring me lately with your predictabiility.
  3. Hardly. As hugely dissapointing as that bases loaded no outs ZERO RUNS (which is so common for the Cubs, I actually can't remember the last time we DID score with bases loaded no outs) I doubt the game comes to it. I don't see the Cardinals making this much of a game today.
  4. I wouldn't call them the worst conference, which team in the ACC is really any better than Wisconsin/Ohio State/Penn State, hell even though Michigan really let things get past them the two weeks, there is no team in the ACC or even the Big East that I would pick above those 4 teams. (I'm looking at you West Virginia, prove you can play some defense and throw the ball) And don't get me started on the Big 12 North, hell even the Big 12 South is unimpressive except for Oklahoma, Texas by all rights SHOULD have lost against UCF. I think we are just seeing a lot more parity in D1A, and that makes the Big 10 look a bit worse because they are in a bit of a down year. But make no mistake, there are some very quality programs in that conference.
  5. They've always had a great rushing attack, its just now that they aren't turning the ball over every other down, they are able to put some points on the board. Heres hoping they can upset one of Wisconsin, Penn State or Michigan. That would be beautiful.
  6. Every god damn time you show this run down of stats, the cubs ARE NEVER EVER EVER leading in pitches per plate appearance. that dissapoints me.
  7. This is Marshall's fault, Lou's not pitching or showing he can't pitch in big games. Marshall couldn't let the error roll off his back. Marshall can't control if he starts or when he starts. Pitching has a lot to do with rhythm and confidence.
  8. This is 800% Lou's fault for screwing with Marshall's rhythm and putting him in the bullpen.
  9. LOL How do we lose this game after being spot a 3 run lead? (Could have easily been 5 or more) How pathetic are we?
  10. Why did I say anything.
  11. I remember when I said "I've never been less confident with a 4 run lead than with Steve Trachsel on the mound" This 3 run lead is basically a tie game in my mind.
  12. Bizarro Reds only come out against the Cubs. :?
  13. not if they lose by a run. terrible coaching by quade. just terrible. If there are runners at first and third, chances are Pinero throws a different pitch to Soriano. It sucks that Quade sent him, but I'm happy with how things worked out. very dubious argument. No, I think its a pretty safe argument. Things change in a hurry.
  14. The exact same as ... right now? 2.0? Well I mean, its an odd question. Nothing would change for either of the top teams, I guess the Cardinals would be 8 back.
  15. Um, how? Quades coaching I thought you were referring to the home run.
  16. Why did Marshall completely give up on that play? I really think he could have made it a close play at first.
  17. This is what happens when you pull Sean Marshall out of the rotation for Steve Trachsel. They both suck.
