    There are definitely more than one way to score a run. You could get on, get bunted over, steal third and score on a sac fly. The traditional baseball fans love that stuff Unfortunately its not as efficient or easy to do then just letting most players swing away in nearly every situation. Similarly, stealing is a traditionally overrated skill because getting caught stealing is magnitudes worse for a team than swiping a base. When you think about it, that should be conventional wisdom, getting 1 spot further on the basepaths is definitely not equal to getting out (its not even worth it when you can do it 3 times for every time you get out, or its just about break even) when you're goal is to eventually score. ] You could also yell at the pitcher and ask him to throw you a fastball, it might work too, but its definitely not going to be as easy as playing the game.

    Except Fontenot and Theriot are up so, yeah its over. The question is, who sucks worse? Fontenot. And that's saying something. BE HURT RIOT Am I a bad person for actually hoping he's dinged up a little and Cedeno gets a chance to shine?

    Fontenot-Theriot 1-2 is pretty dumb and might hamstring this offense It also possibly might cost Derrek Lee the triple crown if he keeps playing the way he is

    As unclutch as he is, Encarnacion has no future. Are you joking? The guy is pretty damn awesome, and probably has a better future than any position player the cubs have in the minors

    I've been thinking this too, he hasn't looked that bad the last few games If Theriot can put up an OBP of .350+ I can definitely put up with him. Unfortunately he had, what, a .326 or something last year?
