DeRosa at 3rd is bleh. If he could have made that play earlier this wouldn't have been a problem, and on the replay he could have possibly done something with Pujols' "double"

to be fair, most lineups become average when you remove arguably their best hitter and turn their third or fourth-best hitter into a lesser version of neifi perez. I was just responding to the guy saying we didn't do anything against Wellemeyer should have quoted him

I really hate the tired cliche of people saying a team didn't deserve a win or a playoff appearance or something, however If this team keeps playing like this, they deserve nothing and will almost certainly take 3rd place. What a shame Hawk needs to calm himself down. The White Sox would have never won the 2005 World Series if it wasn't for Doug Eddings and his moron call. Damn, I missed this. I love it when Hawk erupts in righteous anger, although the eventual whining that follows gets tiresome. What an unprofessional ass he is. Its wonderful to turn on a Sox game and see them losing and literally not hearing a peep out of Hawk. He's the play by play guy who abandons his duties whenever he feels bad about his team. He's incredibly immature. -
Probably, but the "outrageous" label is more about what we expect him to do in the future, rather than what he has done to date. For his actual production so far, his contract is at or below expected market value. Don't get me wrong...if I could trade him right now only paying a million or two of his contract, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I fully expect one of 08 or 09 will be a terrible year, although I haven't figured out which one yet. At least so far though, he's done the job. I thought he was only signed through 08?

If Dempster falls off we have exactly 1 good starting pitcher left Which is just about on par with the rest of the league. It's rare to see any team with a bonafide 1-2 punch these days. I wasn't being that demanding with "good" i meant you know, just a bit above league average I don't think Carlos is just good. I think he's great. One of the best pitchers in the league. I'm talking about the rest of the rotation. Marquis is a loser, Lilly is still struggling but may have put it together a bit and who knows what we're getting with Lieber and/or Hill If Dempster goes we have one decent pitcher left

I never understood this. If someone is that bad and you don't want to get rid of his contract at least bench or something. There is no reason you have to TROT him out there and let him hurt the team. Not that I think Marquis should be DFA'd or benched, but its something I see all the time. Like Zito for instance. He shouldn't be on any major league roster. He should just retire and save everyone a lot of embarrassment.
