That was the worst AB Lee has had in a Cubs uniform. Atrocious. Oh well, good job everyone else. Now Zambrano, don't do the standard Cubs pitcher thing and immediately give up the lead.

6/17 Cubs(Dempster) @ Rays(Kazmir) 6:10CT CSN

Neal Cotts sucking immensely and also giving up 3 bases on a stupid throw was worse than anything else the rest of the game Reed trying to steal third was stupid and dumb, the bunt was actually an OK idea. Oh well, get em next time -

I like the lineup and I like Dempster in this game, lets do it -
I'm going to bump this thread in August when he'll be hitting low .200's with no walks or power and he'll still be languishing on our roster
-
Cubs added a percent on their day off and are at 93.1% now. The Cardinals at 43%? YUCK. Frankly that seems low to me for the way they have played this season, and absurdly high in ELO since that should count preseason projections. Who is going to challenge the Cardinals for the Wild Card? Certainly no one in the West...the Marlins in the East?
-
There is no 'if' about it. He'll stop hitting soon
-
I'm going to be honest, Rocco moved pretty fast and those 18 holes didn't seem that long to me
-
The 168th best golfer in the game is choking? No, he's just playing at his level. He played magnificently, excellent game. Happy to see Tiger win
-
This is the greatest game of golf that has ever been played

6/16 HOF Game Cubs(?) vs. Padres(?) 1pm CT, WGN
BigSlick replied to Roast's topic in Fred Hornkohl Game Thread Forum
My sentiments. Instead of resting up they have to ravel to Cooperstown, and then have to travel to Tampa. Oh well, better than playing. -
I think he's got a cool personality, I'm rooting for Tiger, but I like the guy
-
yet he's also on pace to have his highest VORP and highest EqA in a cub uniform, which is a lesson on how overrated OPS is as a statistic. As flawed as OPS is, I really really wish the hobgoblins at ESPN would ditch their lovefest over BA and RBI and adopted it. Its not the best thing, but its easier for people to accept and easily use. Its not a bad bench mark. But this situation shows its flaws. I'd much much much much rather have a player with a .400 OBP and .500 SLG then a player with .350 OBP and .550 SLG, though both would be very valuable players.

Throwing this out there: is Fukudome rather unimpressive?

Why does the HOF have to be in the middle of the season, and for gods sake why does it have to be an exhibition. The baseball gods are throwing some curveballs at us, it really sucks -
Keep your eyes on this season http://www.baseballlibrary.com/baseballlibrary/teams/1977cubs.stm Any time I feel confident in anything, I'm gonna check this site. Jesus, the amount of losing they did in the second half of that season was incredible
-
I'm like 80% sure the Cardinals wont lose another game the rest of the season.
-
If I ever get the chance to meet Lou candidly, I'm going to give him my what for over his usage of Marmol
-
Absolutely no way to justify using marmol now I'm so very depressed. I love Marmol so much, but I'll never get to see him pitch in the playoffs this year  (or if he does, effectively at least)
-
I'm convinced teh Cubs are the only team that walks Kevin Mench FTH Lilly, stop walking people, get after them.
-
Yup, 5-1 odds we don't get a runner in scoring position the rest of the game
-
Cubs satisfied with 3 runs, will not get another baserunner the rest of the game
-
The Cardinals may not lose a series the rest of the season
-
Incredible, when the Ump does his job we strike out the side Funny how that works
-
Phillies up 1-0 in the 1st God willing, they'll be able to beat up on Mitchell Boggs, we know he's a world beater.
-
Are you addressing the Umps or the Cubs?
