    Crappy pitching led to Pierre hitting a line drive single up the middle. Well, singles tend to happen in Baseball. That said, he gets out of the inning easily if not for that horrid throw by Geo. I am not a Marquis fan at all, but that inning is on Geo. You're still assuming that the player gets the ball, gets the tag down in time, and the ump calls him out. As we saw yesterday, none of that is a guarantee. I tink he's assuming the ball just doesn't go into centerfield
