  1. I'd rather you just blame the field if the Bears win though
  2. not that I'm saying the Seahawks had a chance in this one regardless, but Pete's gameplan was...interesting to say the least. He basically gave up on running after the first few drives, and though they were down, they really should have given their best player the ball more than 4 times, especially with the way Hasselbeck was throwing it and how the receivers dropped everything thrown to them. They gouged the Bears badly in the first game by coming out and playing the hurry up, and it even worked when they busted it out in this one (the end of the first half they put together a bit of a drive, and of course, the end of the game) but they didn't use it for most of the game? Curious.
  3. i saw that and thought wow, if i was in palontonio's shoes i'd be scared shitless with bart scott ranting and raving and screaming his head off right next to me
  4. Wait, what? They allowed 5 TDs (all of which came on drives of 48 yards or more) to an offense many consider to be below average. Not to mention 45 rush yards and 2 rush TDs to a 240-pound QB. Seattle's defense was awful today. Come on, everyone knows Cutler is one of the better (white) running QBs out there Today marked a career-high in rushing yards by Cutler. So what? He had 48ish yards before he took kneel downs, thats...a good amount of rushing yards for a freakin' qb, what do you expect? There is no doubt Cutler is a very effective running quarterback, and he typically picks up 2-3 first downs with his feet a game.
  5. i want the jets to win the afc and i want them to continue to play sanchez forever
  6. id rather he do it now than the regular season at least and he's for sure gone after this season too.. its been a rough patch for tommie since that injury in 06 :(
  7. chris bosh is funny because he's somewhere around the 30th best player in the league and looks like an actual raptor
  8. as a jew i still find this funny
  9. i will never listen to people talking about penalties going either way because peppers is egregiously held 5-6 times a game and he's lucky to get one called
  10. i can see it now: bears win the superbowl vs the new york jets as a thunderstorm somehow appears below the dallas gigundo tv and soaks the field, bears win the luckiest superbowl of all time
  11. christ almighty no boozer and no noah makes homer do something-something
  12. hahaha the patriots getting knocked out does wonders for the NFC team's chances
  13. nuts and gum = mojo? because yea no one approaches him but yeah for content: this year was fun, good job by the bears taking out the trash. best game by far by the offensive line, really nice to see them hitting on all cylinders. like o'branovich was saying, take the pages in the playbook that say 'wildcat' on them and burn them because they have no business being used here or anywhere. just refuse the temptation to use that crap because it aint working. the defense...actually got away with a lot. didn't get a good amount of pressure, but we got bailed out on a ton of drops and wild hasselbeck. they also were allowing our corners to be physical and i doubt the reffs let anyone lay a finger on driver and the golden packer boys. we get a chance to play for the super bowl, thats way more than i asked for at the beginning of this season.
  14. Brown really wanted to stay a Bear and is sorta a shame, as a sympathetic fan who liked him despite his flaws as a player, we didn't keep him around. He was never all that good though, but I appreciate his loyalty.
  15. i'm surprised at how, oh i dunno, likable he seems on that show he does on espn. he comes off as brash, stubbornly ignorant, and pretty damn stupid, but he doesn't seem like the same [expletive] that went off on hall of fame tirades that firejoemorgan made fun of him for i dont go out of my way to watch that show as its mostly fluff, but its not horrible
  16. god i really hope boozer is ok, i missed the game but the highlights were exciting enough, jeez, i hate how wade does the whole 'jump, lean into defender, hope you get a call' and then drains the three ANYWAY, god i hate wade this team sans boozer and noah is going to be...less than fun to watch
  17. i know this is blasphemy but i dont think theres a qb in the nfl i'd take over him, at this exact moment i dont want to call brady a 'system qb' but ... he certainly is in a system that provides a ton of yac and basically needs a guy to be super accurate in the short game, and he is but aaron rodgers is a completely mad man right now, he's even got decent to good escapability and running ability, absolutely impressive arm strength and accuracy, and incredible decision making its totally unfair the packers go from one of the best qbs in the league to...one of the best qbs in the league he's still fairly young (though he had to wait, what like 4 years on the bench with favre? so he's not THAT young) and you'll have him for quite some time. ugh
  18. what can you talk about the intricacies of a boring and bad seahawks team?
  19. Good point. But they did play well in GB and Minnesota on fields that weren't exactly in pristine condition. And the Soldier field turf wasn't all that great vs. Philly either when the D played well. I'd like to think that it was simply a motivation thing (or lack thereof) being that they were facing two AFC teams in games that were all but meaningless in the grand scheme of things. And when they needed to show up vs. the Jets, they did by allowing only 45 yards on 16 4th quarter plays. they seemed pretty motivated the entire week before the new england game, hell i think urlacher said they were the best team in the nfl, and then recanted after the butt whooping
  20. i want that feeling but can't have it because we're playing the seahawks, i'll get it if we win and move on because the seahawks are the awful combination of a terrible team and a team that can also beat us, theres no way i can get up and be excited for it, theres no celebration in winning this game and theres no consolation for losing.
  21. i could only listen to the game on the radio, but i'm imagining that kurt did that without leaving his feet because after a month and a half of kurt thomas, i still haven't seen him jump yet
  22. i just hope our defense doesn't play like it did the last few weeks in soldier field. the turf is soooo bad that it basically nullifies our defensive advantage, as seen in the pats and jets games, if we lose this game because our defense can' t move at all it'll piss me off sooooo much on the other hand our offense seems to play pretty well on the crappy turf against similarly slowed down defenses, so who knows
  23. the media seems to think jay cutler is a prick because he's a prick to the media. these are not the same thing. in fact being a prick to the media is something i applaud because they make up stuff, poke into peoples lives, and are a general nuisance. go jay.
  24. the open guys can't hit a jumper so i dont blame him i dont know when the last time korver has hit a 3 but its been like december
  25. he's saying if they load up on the run they will pass 60 times, which is correct, but of course people will look at it and misinterpret it purposefully the worst thing the bears can do is run it into a stacked line and throw away possessions. if they force you to throw, then you throw, and you will have success if they keep 8 in the box.
