Albert Pujols came into the Major Leagues like a Fully Formed Hall of Fame player, and never missed a beat for like a decade. In some ways I get why people whisper about steroids or his age coming into the leagues, etc etc because it's so bizarre how complete a player he was right from go. The weirdest thing about the Albert Pujols decline is that he's gone from one of the most patient, disciplined walk-happy players to someone that absolutely despises taking a walk It's like seeing someone's personality change before your eyes. Makes sense that once a player loses some bat speed they'll compensate and expand their zone, but I never thought I'd see Pujols like this. I'd figure he'd just let his average precipitously drop while staying the same patient dude, but nope, he's gone swing crazy. Rage, rage against the dying of the light, Albert. (As long as you're on the Angels and as far away from the Cardinals as can be, thanks)
