Kershaw is the one dude, seriously, pretty much the one dude, where working the count doesn't really work. He's also dealing and the ump is being generous with his zone. It's gonna be a hard night to get runs off him.
-
We ask him to be the guy with the best ERA in the NL. It's not like he's some 5th starter. Joe only asked 6 innings out of Lester last night...he's clearly going to work the bullpen much more than he would during the regular season, especially as Hendricks is a righty
-
lol at Willson not even pretending to swing at those first 2 pitches
-
Well done Kyle. Shape it up and give us a couple more good innings and we get everything we asked out of you.
-
Huh, I would have called that a strike too
-
it looked better in real time, i give Contreras credit I'm also a spiteful homer and have begun to really despise Utley since he joined LA
-
you can't keep falling behind these guys, Kyle
-
lol where were you running to Utley? God you big idiot that was an obvious strike
-
they've already sucked some of the drama out of the games - like when Travis Wood crushed a home run while they were interviewing...someone
-
Umm...what is this ump doing to Kyle right now?
-
lol I took a nap at 2 pm and when i went to check the score to see how much the Bears won by I just laughed and closed the browser. This is for sure the worst Bears team I've ever seen and that 2002 Bears team was really godawful. I wasn't watching those late 90s teams when they went 4-12 like every season though. Thank god for the Cubs.
-
Remember how he destroyed the ball when he got off the DL this year? He's there, somewhere, lurking
-
Of course not, but hopefully closers are abolished soon
-
Kinda rich to bring up the mean Cubs having a top 5 payroll when the Dodgers have a 300 million dollar payroll and are just, like, ok
-
this is the pivotal game. the dodgers are gambling throwing Kershaw out there, after working so much, on the road, to try to put a charge into their hopes - we can dash them. We win this game, I think this series is just about over. I'm so glad I don't have to wait an extra day for it. Go Cubs!

I love the cubs, I love this board I love baseballs
-
Oh my god That's probably the greatest Cubs moment I've had watching a game So far
-
Addy....why swing at ball 4 twice
-
OH my god please give me a disappearing act like they've done throughout the year
-
IMO Maddon has to chill out on the pitcher changes, Edwards was looking fantastic
-
We really need to get some balls in the air other than pop ups
-
Can we get a pop up home run like them?
-
Man, Russell is so bad right now
-
