    Between Baez and Bryant, I don't think we'll see any La Stella starts - he'll be a lefty bat on the bench Without Szczur though our righty options on the bench ain't great...some combo of Ross, Baez and Almora

    I guess Szczur swoon down the stretch really cemented him off the roster - also Almora is way better defensively and that's probably most of the role Matty would have.

    Games 1 and 3 are setting up to be amazingly good pitching match ups. We just gotta squeeze one out against Cueto tomorrow, I feel extremely confident about Hendricks vs. whatever trash they throw out, and then we have Arrieta vs. Bumgarner in a closing, or at least decisive, game. I'm going full meatball now.

    you had maybe the greatest 10 year stretch of anybody of working age at the beginning there 2005-2006 was a lot of fun, everything past that was pretty blah 2010-2013 or so was just a series of kicks in the nuts, except for that playoff win against a 7-9 Seattle team

    It's a crapshoot but every round we're going to be reasonably-to-excellently favored so you take it one round at a time, and we'll be like something like 65% favored in our first match up so its whatever Its like if you're playing X-Com and you get that 70% shot, be confident with it

    I've been a fan of the Bears on a serious basis for about 13 years, and there have been just a long line of busts, disappointments, flashes of brilliance, squandered talent. The Kevin White thing doesn't even bother me that much, it just further cements my slow disinterest in the Bears and the sport itself.
