  1. The Vikings have got like 50 yards of penalties go their way on the last couple drives. Death to the Vikings
  2. I would never advise spending real money on a kicker just hate this guy.
  3. I desperately want Parkey football-euthanized. He’s an outrageous dead weight. I haven’t despised a football player this much since Chris Conte. I hate that the Bears are killing them but it’s not even two full scores. If you want to win you can’t even pull the starters.
  4. I went and checked the 2015 Broncos stats and holy moly I had no recollection at just how bad Peyton Manning was that year. He was terrible. Still pulled it together and destroyed the Panthers, so there's that.
  5. Football all around is depressing High School Football players are killing themselves for the chance to play at a top school for the infinitesmal chance to play in the NFL where the majority of former players go bankrupt
  6. The greatest distorting effect on baseball is the fact that teams get the first 7 years of a players career without letting them test free agency. For 90% of players their peak years will be in those years. I don’t know what would happen if we totally abolished that 7 year standard, but it would get weird and interesting and I’m here for it.
  7. For all intents and purposes Mitch currently holds the best single-season QB Rating for a Bears QB of all time. (I adamantly refuse to count 5 games of Josh McCown, thats not a full season). This really says only 2 things: The game itself has changed tremendously and also the Bears QB history is just dreadful. It's still almost unfathomable we haven't had a 4,000 yard passer in a season. It feels like one of those weird stats we'll never best, where the Football Gods will intervene and injure a QB before capturing it.
  8. I just believe in an alternate viewpoint, like the fact that I want the entirety of human civilization to collapse and the earth to burn to cinders
  9. The neurotic meatball in me doesn’t like the karma of not trying vs the Vikings and then letting them waltz into the playoffs and beating us next week. It would be eerily similar to the way things turned out in 2010 with Green Bay. But also that’s irrational superstitions. I dunno. I hate the set up all around, I’ll be uncomfortable with basically any outcome until the Bears get out of the Wild Card round.
  10. You wouldn't have thought it watching the game but Trubisky was 25 for 29 He's lucky a really bad INT was wiped by a penalty but otherwise, extremely efficient.
  11. well that was exactly what i feared as a worst case scenario: a stupid sloppy game the Bears should have won by 20 but eked out either way. The more Mitch plays though, the better, and the more confident I feel in him. He has his spots, but he's already better than Cutler was at any point.
  12. What a magnificent drive. When the Bears move the ball like that they’re unstoppable.
  13. Ok all the indescribably stupid stuff has passed and now the Bears are moving the ball with purpose again
  14. Well, I guess if we’re gonna fumble three times deep in our territory we’re gonna lose.
  15. Mack had a superhuman series there. Holy moly. Please reward him with points you losers
  16. Oh my god did you guys see Parkey fall over on that kick off? Please dear god cut him I pray to you football gods
  17. Mitch was bailed out on a really really bad play with a flag there I’m glad we’re the kind of offense that can take advantage of such gifts but Oof
  18. I miss Robbie Gould. :(
  19. Oh. I guess the Bears are just gonna do everything in their power to lose this one. Cool.
  20. They beat the Lions pretty handily with a back up QB
  21. Please don’t make this an excruciatingly close game for no reason that would be annoying
  22. Cody Parkey needs to be taken behind the barn and out of his misery. Honestly the only thing I could be upset about with this front office is their commitment to this terrible terrible kicker
  23. Well, to be fair, the three players the Dodgers traded have some intrinsic value, while the players we would like to unload are extremely bad. Even if this is a salary dump, I'm surprised not to hear more substantial names other than Bailey because Puig and Wood are both very valuable players. Puig and Wood aren’t “very valuable” get the hell out of here. They’re okay players. I’d liken Puig to Zobrist and Wood to Monty in terms of trade value. And Homer Bailey is straight up awful. I'll take em.
  24. Between Lester, Hamels and Darvish, we have 66 million tied up on 3 pitchers who will be either on the other side of 35 or possibly dead. That's what makes me feel worst of all, to be honest.
  25. i feel burned enough by the heyward and darvish deals now that i feel like if he had/would sign with us he'll immediately break his knee, so its for the best really
