    I still don't believe there is any such skill as "hitting with RISP" I just think its mostly bad luck Maybe a little bit of choke. There's certainly no special approach that can change it. Just being better hitters.

    Being six games over and having a -1 run differential is hardly anything special, there are teams that play way worse and end up with way better records, like the 2007 Diamondbacks. The team that should be really upset is the reds with a +48 run differential and a losing record

    ok i cheated, but i do have to join the chorus saying: mike montgomery is 1,000,000 percent not the person to bring in with the bases loaded right there. he's having a terrible year so far and the poor dude needs all the help he can get. i'm glad it worked out but jeez, you're playing with fire with that one

    i'm just popping in, but can someone explain to me how the cubs managed to commit a double play double stealing with the bases loaded and one out i'm thankful to god that i did not witness this as i likely would have had a stroke on the spot

    as far as what other options are there, I'll take him. I refuse to watch any of Russell, Almora or Descalso in the box. At least CarGo may run into one.

    good win. doesn't make up for blowing like 6 games in the last two weeks, but its the Bare Minimum to not have a disaster homestand

    I have to admit, I just assumed strikeout when it got to 0-2. Just bury four straight in the dirt and he likely misses one of them. I liked reality better. i 100% dont understand why pitchers throw strikes to Javy, but I'm not complaining

    Javy is the type of player that bends the game to his will, not the other way around. its really astounding he can look entirely lost in an at bat and then just murder a baseball
