    i was looking at Heyward's month splits and they are fascinating. He basically has had on and off great months sandwiching just horrific months, a fantastic April, a horrific May, an incredible June, a mediocre July and then one of the worst months of baseball possible in August (he had an 0-26 stretch in a month where he only had 90 plate appearances)

    We are closer to the Cardinals for the division (whom most have rightfully given up on thinking we can catch or at least think it’s a long shot) than the Brewers are to us. To be totally transparent, and as you already know, I have Brewers phobia and hate everything Brewers. I'm also a pessimist, which made 2016 great. However, when it comes to the Brewers I'm always expecting the worst-case scenario. So, while the Cubs actually have the opportunity to take care of business themselves and knock the Brewers really far back this weekend, I just know that's not how it's going to work because that would be too much baseball happiness for me. No, I'm expecting to get swept and watch them get right back in it because that's the life of a baseball pessimist who hates the Brewers. However, getting to vent on a message board is much better than paying to see a shrink to talk about this. horsefeathers everything. The cardinals are always worse and more evil than the Brewers.     are the reds and cardinals seriously doing 2 doubleheaders back to back? and the Reds are gonna lose all 4? I guess we can hope that the doubleheader hangover effect gets doubled and makes the Cardinals way worse for the last month (it wont)
