    maddon has used the quick hook lately a bunch and i'm...concerned that he's managing based on recency bias because its worked out for yu so well he really does tend to manage like a child who gets engrossed with a new bauble every two seconds

    I feel like we’ve hit into an inordinate number of double plays from line outs and such, and it’s not just poor baserunning it’s just bizarre outrageous luck

    Mediocre is roughly 30x better than what Descalso brings us

    good job cobs. still a horsefeathers series that could have easily been a sweep for us if like, two plays were different, but it is what it is. baseball is a dumb awful sport and i hate it

    Credit where credits due by the way, Chatwood pitched very well Perhaps the trick to Chatwood is to use him so infrequently his poor peripherals never show too much

    I’m actually impressed at the Cubs commitment to never getting your hopes up *too* much. Every mini-hot streak is rudely interrupted by just awful horrific play I wanted second half mega Cubs, but the road Cubs comes to bonk me on the head. Damn me for my optimism.
