    The biggest surprise about this year so far is how useless Claypool was. If he's a zero thats.....thats a pretty big miss by Poles. I have no excitement about anyone returning from the receiver corps except for Mooney. Everyone else has been so, so bad. Of course Claypool has an offseason to get healthy and learn the playbook but....my doomboner over him is overwhelming. Very happy to be wrong, of course.

    It's absolutely not worth thinking about this kind of thing. Just revel in the joy of our GM having an insane dream scenario: unlimited money and unlimited draft capital. He can do whatever he wants with the team. So if he's good, thats great. If he's bad, well, we'd be bad anyway and he can display it all in one year.

    I have to say, at this exact moment, this is the worst Bears team I've ever seen. I've watched the Bears roughly from 2001 to now, and yes, on mere athletic talent and execution - at week 18 of the 2023 season....this is the worst one I've ever seen.

    This is all well and good but....how much is this gonna cost and where's the money gonna come from? They're gonna build a CTA-Metra hub across the street from the stadium AND renovate Soldier Field? How many billions is that gonna cost?

    what exactly are a 'nathan peterman' or a 'tim boyle'?? Surely these are not professional footballmen. i can only pray our suffering this year leads to a beautiful bounty next year.

    The runs up the middle on 3rd and 5 almost ended my life. I was so furious that he did that.

    I know he hasn't had an off-season with the system and it's kind of unfair to judge him mid-season but I'm getting real bad vibes on the Claypool trade. He just....looks very bad out there when you even get a chance to see him play. Hopeful that I'm wrong and jumping to conclusions on this one, but it would hurt real bad to trade the 2nd or 3rd pick in the 2nd round for a guy who just ain't that good. It's probably day-of overreactions about another game I thought we'd be able to hold onto (despite not really caring what our record is at the end of the year) but man it's feeling daunting what Poles is going to have to do over the off-season to make this a competitive team. Need so much help to make this a playoff team. They have unlimited resources to get there, but it means being right and out-competing other teams for FA talent they're going to need. In a way that's exciting for Poles, he gets to rebuild the roster with nearly unlimited freedom. But he's got to hit on everyone from here on out. So, we shall see.

    I’m ok with this. If Fields can go and snatch this game, that would do a lot for me (as a meatball) and for him.

    I'll give the refs this : They aren't being annoying and stupid with pass interference calls - they're letting them play and they aren't giving Rodgers whatever he whines about Rodgers looks flummoxed and they aren't even getting to him in pass rush

    Wow. I guess I shouldn't have said anything. We aren't allowed to have anything nice huh? First of all - that's not a fumble. But also, the guy we trade our 2nd round pick for....sucks and may be dead. Terrible.

    I LOVE the way this game is going so far. If Rodgers can’t get a td there than….man he may be cooked Score a td and exert your dominance over this team. Send Rodgers into retirement with a humiliation. Please do this for all of us

    I'm suspending my rational faculties and going full meatball for the last time this season. If Fields wants to play and is going to play, lets horsefeathers all over the Packers and end Rodgers's tenure with a messy defeat.

    This was the only game left on the schedule I actually cared about the Bears winning and whew....Fields injured and Mooney and Jackson out for the rest of the season is a huge bummer. The smart move is probably sitting Fields through the bye and perhaps even for the rest of the year, but the meatball in me wants them to go all out to beat the Pack for definitely the last time they'll see Rodgers (even if he's just on the sideline). What a bummer the end of this season is. Here's hoping they have a great off-season and can come back fully loaded next year, they at least have the most important guy on the field locked down.

    I just don't even understand the rationale behind the two designed runs on the last drive. You need to get into field goal range, time is an issue....and you run QB designed runs? What are you doing?

    The offensive playcalling was the worst in several weeks. Very predictable, way too many 1st and 2nd down runs with long yardage, not enough play action.

    Uh. Fields gets hit in the head while sliding and there's no flag? And then this? Woof.

    Ok this is cool - give Fields 3 time outs and 2 minutes, go down there and tie/win a game I am starting to be disappointed with Claypool. Where is he? What is he doing?

    Great drive. Would be beautiful to get a stop and a game winning drive, lets see it
