  1. BEARS. 14-3. RUNNING ATTACK. YES.
  2. This Raiders D cannot stop the run so far
  3. I love Justin Fields.
  4. After a really scary and bleak start the Bears offense is looking.....competent? Oh god damnit, dont let this be a serious injury. This is a very physical game
  5. GOOD STOP. YES ok the refs need to cool it with the flags. enough already let them play the game
  6. The tackling by the Bears D in this game is....not so good
  7. FIELDS. YES. FIRST THROWING TD.
  8. This is the first time in my entire life I've felt like the really liberal use of 'roughing the passer' has ever benefited the Bears in a tangible way Jesus, Fields is taking a beating
  9. Man, the Bears are really running the ball well. I'm impressed, particularly with Montgomery out.
  10. Uh oh. This is feeling like the Browns game all over again. EDIT: Just as I finish this post the Raiders bail the Bears out with a roughing call and now they seemingly can move the ball again. Hooray!
  11. If Dalton comes in this game I’m turning it off to
  12. There's a part of me, which I know isn't exactly true, that almost doesn't care how well we do in the standings for a few years if I at least get to see an above average offense for a consistent period of time. Now I know it isn't true. I know it would drive me nuts in an equal and opposite way that watching a consistently good defense combined with horrible offenses has for my entire life. But I just want to know what it feels like. I want to taste it. Show me what a good consistent passing attack. What would it look like to see a 15 yard pass and not think its semi-miraculous. Please. Just a taste.
  13. ONLY THE CARDINALS get to have a 40 year old pitcher effortlessly shut down one of the best offenses in the league I hate Adam Wainwright with all of my being and I’m positive I’ll never be free of him haunting my dreams
  14. Matt Nagy is a really weird guy. Regardless, however we got here, I'm glad Fields is starting the next game and we're going to see how he does with adversity. It's also going to be ok if he struggles a lot and even if he needs to sit after a string of bad games. But it's the right move and I'm glad its happening.
  15. I don’t care about “staying in the playoff hunt” one iota. I know what this team is and it’s not very good and that’s fine, because we have hope in a player who played very well last week
  16. You love to see it
  17. That was a lot of fun. We unfortunately missed the first couple drives as we waited at the gate for a friend of ours but the first game in person: fun. Fields was overall very good. Was obvious he held onto the ball a little too long on a handful of plays, and the tipped interception was not a great decision to throw right a Dlineman. But on the whole he impressed. Hope Montgomery is alright. Hope to see more Fields.
  18. Something that feels very true to me is if a second team came to Chicago it would inevitably boast extremely effective awesome offenses with great sterling quarterbacks and would never ever ever have a good defense
  19. As someone who grew up in Arlington Heights it’s really funny to imagine a Super Bowl hosted in the “downtown” there. I’m not sure they can accommodate a regular NFL game crowd, much less the tens of thousands who would swarm from out of town. Like, it was a big deal when I was a kid when a Noodles and Company opened up next to the movie theater. I can’t imagine the folks that live downtown are super stoked about this. (Though I’m sure property developers are salivating)
  20. Huh. I didn’t expect this to actually happen. Well then.
  21. This is my first Bears game ever. Moderately excited. Given it will be my first in person game, I’m assuming something really stupid like “Nick Foles starts” happens
  22. I’m not overly upset about the number of running plays they ran because the Oline was getting utterly dominated
  23. So that was nearly as bad as could be expected The coaching was awful and not attuned to what they needed to do in context of the talent but the biggest thing was the huge discrepancy in TALENT. The Bears OL is not pro level, just completely embarrassing. A huge shame for the defense who played heroically. They didn’t even really get to see what they have in Fields because he was running for his life all game. A failure on every level.
  24. how humiliating to assist the cardinals in breaking their franchise record for wins streak oh well. as long as they dont cardinal their way to another WS who cares
  25. You think the OL was good yesterday? I think the Browns D is going to pose a much bigger challenge than the Bengals. The Browns are better, but they did... Fine? I would like to see some line improvements next year, but there was a lot of doom and gloom about the line which clearly hasn't materialized through 2 games. Well, part of that is that they don't do a lot of deep drops because they don't have confidence the line can hold the protection. Montgomery has put in a heroic effort because there are times the blocks really aren't there and he finds some space. They aren't like, 2004 bad, but they're not good and I do think it would be wise to get Fields moving a bit more to get him comfortable. This is an interesting situation regarding QB because I expect Dalton is out this week but he wont be injured for too long. So it really is an opportunity for Fields to take the job and never give it back, but I'm not so sure that'll happen. But it'll be real interesting to see him with the keys to the car for a week (or maybe more).
