    I was just coming here to make fun of Pete Prisco on Sportsline for saying something similar... I really think that having the offense on the field more, and give the defense more time off (and not asking them to carry the team and do the bulk of the scoring) will help the defense...not to mention Lovie doing the play calling.

    I'm guessing you don't have to listen to rival fans all day long like some of us. You can only tune out so much. Wait, you were serious? I thought you were being sarcastic given my response to similar comments a page or two ago. Really, who cares what fans of other teams think? Especially about this? I mean if they wanna give us crap about Soriano, or Bradley, or whatever, that's one thing. But "ooooh...your team is declaring bankruptcy as a method for removing liability before an impending sale of the team"....yeah that doesn't really sting.

    1) Mariotti is not a beat writer. 2) It's possible to dislike Mariotti and Sullivan at the same time. I can personally attest to this one.

    If they back out of player contracts, how can they lure big name free agents in the future? Unfortunately I don't think they'll be doing anything with those.

    Chapter 11 bankruptcy does not mean "out of money". Chapter 11 is debt reorganization. Tell that to the throngs of Cardinals and White Sox fans who don't know any better. This is kinda embarrassing. I know it's all for show, but it doesn't look good. .....Wow...who cares? If this is the best thing for the organization, who cares what Bubba from Hicksville, MO thinks about it?

    Peter King has been having some players fill in and right MMQB for the last week or two while he's on vacation. Chris Cooley wrote today's article, and had a nice compliment for Greg Olsen: Nothing significant, but it's telling that he's catching the attention of his peers.
