Football season always gets me excited. The combination of the last few beach days of the year, with no more 100 degree humid days, smaller crowds, and then driving home early Sunday morning to watch the games is just the best. I didn't really mean that wasn't going to get excited for football, though I certainly see how you got that from my post. I just meant that I told myself I wasn't going to let the Bears hype get me overly excited/optimistic about the Bears chances...but I can't help it. Yeah, but all the excitement about football in general inevitably awakens my suppressed optimism for the Bears. If they win their first game I'll have them penciled into the 2nd round of the playoffs. I hear ya man. And really, in mind this is a "can't lose" season, in a way....if you look really hard...and squint. If we win, we win of course....but if we stink, then at least Lovie and Angelo will be gone.
