    Who the hell is asking for more blitzing? I don't mind mixing up coverage and putting on a blitz. However, if you're picking whom you're going to leave on an island, don't isolate your corner who is matched up against Calvin Johnson. Right. My point was though, that last year we complained about blitzing too much, and that Peppers arrival was suppose to make it so you could rush 4 and not have to blitz as much. But Lovie is delusional and thinking that fans are clamoring for more blitzing....which is nonsense.

    I gotta give Fox credit...having that ref guy come on and talk about questionable rules interpretations and such is a great idea. I'm a big fan of that.

    Manumaleuna was the FB on 4th down. He had a great lead block, actually. It was just too bad he couldn't block the other 10, because there were at least 3 people who got through on that side. I also thought it might have been a hole for Forte to run up Manu's back on that play. Push the lead blocker and fall on his back. We don't have a guy that's really built for goaline rushing. Like Biggs mentioned this morning, Forte is an upright rusher, and he's not going to change at this point (nor would you really want to change that). In one of the mailbags I read this week (I think it was Pompei's Q&A), someone mentioned the idea of using Henry Melton in a situation like that. He's played FB before, and could be used like the Fridge in that kind of situation. I was actually encouraged by a lot this week...with the caveat that it's the Lions. But man, our linebackers looked like studs. Urlacher was all over the place, and Briggs' strip of Hill was just perfect timing.

    Hokies are only up by 3. Would be a big blow to Boise if VTech turned out to suck. If USF can just not turn over the ball, they could beat Florida!

    I think there's a lot of conspiracy theory going on here. Maybe on my side as well...I dunno. Truth is, we don't know what the real ability of Boise to schedule good teams is. Your assumption is that they want to have an easy schedule. Mine is that there's no benefit for the consistently highly ranked teams to play Boise or TCU or whatever other "upstarts" there may be. I'm glad Boise is changing conferences. I would've liked to have seen it be the PAC-10 instead of the MWC, but it's still a lot better than the WAC.

    Also as you mentioned earlier, they "run" that they're on is relatively recent in the scope of things. At the time they would have had to schedule these games, they'd only had a couple of years of success. I imagine in the next 4-5 years, they'll have much better options for non-conference games. That doesn't help them in the argument this year, but frankly, I don't imagine they much care about the crying of other teams fans much. :)

    I guess my point is that Boise and TCU can only schedule the teams that will play them. Telling them to go out and "schedule harder teams" is pretty disingenuous. Harder teams need to be willing to play them to improve the SOS.

    It's not others that have 4-5 actual games on their schedule each year, it's Boise. Boise can only play the teams that will play them. If Alabama fans or Ohio State fans or whoever is worried that they won't get into the National Championship game with 1 loss because of Boise State's cupcake schedule, then they should have put Boise State on their schedule.

    How about this? If you think that Boise State or TCU are unworthy, petition the AD of your favorite major conference school to play them. IMO it shouldn't be on Boise State or TCU to somehow convince others that they are worthy. It should be on others to prove that they're better than Boise State or TCU. Thus far...not many are willing to take that risk.
