  1. Lets keep this stuff in the Bears thread. It's all fun and games in there, but there's no need to take it outside of that. Then tell him to keep the stupid Aaron Rodgers gif off the Bulls thread. What?? It's his sig.
  2. I considered that, but discounted it because it didn't fit my point as well. :-)

  4. Completely disagree. Having a mediocre DL doesn't get your star QB killed though. We spent $90 million on the D-line this past offseason. Time to put that kind of effort into the O-line. According to FO, the 3 teams we've played so far all have O-lines ranked in the top 10 in pass protection. The Giants are ranked 20th. We should be able to get to Eli. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol
  5. You're right, of course. It's overreacting to say one way or the other. I'm just really encouraged by what I've seen so far...some uncharacteristic Bears things like "name" players getting sat, or adjustments being made, and I get excited.
  6. How is that a bigger need than O-line right now? I mean...yeah D-line is important...but they're putting pressure (if not getting sacks) without Tommie. O-line is a bigger area of need. I think it'll be Jennings. Jennings did more on Sunday than Bowman has all season. Jennings did the fair catch on the Dallas onsides kick last week, which I think (along with good practices) got him an opportunity this week, and he took advantage by making good, hard tackles, and being very aware of his surroundings on that fumble. Jennings may not be uber-talented, but so far, he seems like a pretty smart football player. Agreed all around. Williams should be on a short leash. Tice has done a great job with what he's been given. It hurts me to say this, but has the coaching staff already earned itself another season? Even Lovie? They've started out better than anyone thought (even if this is somewhat of an illusion). I see a team that can really develop with some smart drafting. Hopefully, Lovie and Jerry will listen to their other coaches on draft day.
  7. Breaking News: The Packers were just flagged for a penalty.
  8. Look...all trolling aside, let me ask you a few questions? 1) Has anyone here implied that this is anything more than the 3rd game of the season? Anything more than a win over a Packers team that was a Super Bowl favorite? Anything more than a surprising start by a team picked by many (including it's own fans) to be pretty damn bad? 2) How does the "better team" commit more penalties than they scored points? How does the "better team" have so many mistakes to allow the Bears to be so "lucky"? In the long run, maybe you're right...the Packers might be the better team. Like you mentioned (in caps)...it's the third game of the season, and we have to wait for the season to play out to see who is better. But on Monday night, the Bears were the better team. It's a hard concept for a lot of Packers fans...so it's cool if you don't get it... http://www.packerchatters.com/4ums/index.php?showtopic=18297 3) It's worth pointing out that you were pretty pumped as well last year after the Packers beat the Bears....in the FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON:
  9. He left on the first series of the Dallas game. Didn't play but a couple of snaps that game. It was pretty widely understood he was out, so it wasn't really pregame news.
  10. I lost by a point an a half last night, with Mason Crosby being my last player. If that FG hadn't been blocked, I'd have won. I've never been happier to lose a ffb game.
  11. Any updates here? ESPN's poll has the Giants as 3.5 point favs. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/poll/_/id/4311/nfl-week-4-pick-em-vs-spread
  12. Clayton put the Bears 2nd behind the Steelers... http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/24400/power-rankings-how-the-voters-voted-41
  13. I read from Biggs today that they'll put Omiyale back at RT. But I would think they'll have a short leash knowing what Omiyale is able to do.
  14. Why was Washington a win before but not now?
  15. The game at Lambeau is pretty likely to be pointless, being the last game. Bears-Packers is always a big game. Unless Rex Grossman has a New Years party to plan.
  16. The game at Lambeau is pretty likely to be pointless, being the last game.
  17. I'll cut him a break on the one he threw when Zambo went helmet to chin on him. I think he was trying to the PI (that he got) on the last one. But yeah...the dropped one near the end concerned me, and there were a few passes that actually worked that were pretty dangerous. But really...Cutler's gonna do that. We really need to accept that...
  18. Anybody know any good Giants message boards? The ones I see on google don't seem to be super active...
  19. I know you mentioned this a week or two ago, and I loved the idea then, but I dunno. Haynesworth has looked like a real dog out there, and he just won't shut his trap. He comes with so much baggage and stupid.
  20. The Bears didn't really luck into wins that much that year... the closest you could say was the game at Minnesota that was the first hint of Bad Rex, with the game winning TD to Rashied Davis... and then there was the Arizona MNF game which was in your face Bad Rex.... but those games were mixed in with completely destroying @GB, Detroit, Buffalo, and the defending conference champion Seahawks on national TV. When that team had Tommie and Brown healthy, it was really freaking good. But a lot of that was special teams and defensive scores though, right? People were calling those "luck". Even in blowouts. Or so that's the way I'm remembering it.
  21. Well yeah...I'll agree with that. I still prefer a noon game though.
  22. As a fan, short weeks are the best part of MNF games. I'm sure the players probably feel differently.
  23. I think he's a little soft for the coach's liking and they didn't like how he kept saying things like "they aren't telling me anything." It's a matter of choosing to do what you're told as a player or only doing what you want to do. If he was a little more established he'd probably have a leg to stand on, but as a journeyman with just a couple games under his belt, he's got to work harder. One of the Score producers tweeted this last night... Mulligan this morning said that supposedly one of the things that he told Rosenhaus was "they don't tell me anything".
  24. Harris has been benched, but it's been suspensions...never just a performance based coaches decision like this. Lovie even said that Tommie has done what the coaches have asked....which, if you believe Lovie, means that Tommie just isn't the best option out there right now...and I don't think Lovie would have made that decision. Hey, Smith has had a good year so far. He's made some mistakes, but I don't hate him nearly as much as I have in other years. Is that giving him enough credit? :)
  25. The Giants are a 4-3. Bears haven't seen that since the Lions game. I'm interested to see how the Martz offense does against a 4-3 now that they've gotten more comfortable in the system. Eli might be the worst quarterback we've seen since the Lions game. Certainly the most mistake prone. I'm excited to get this one done with so we can get back to Sunday afternoon games. Prime time games suck.
