  1. I dont get why he was made to run 3 300 yard sprints while it is normally 2 300 yard sprints. 3 300 yard sprints seems pretty excessive, especially for a dlineman. Because they're jerking him around. They didn't want him to pass the conditioning test. This is Shanahan flexing his muscle.
  2. Honestly, what scares me more than anything, is Lovie's nearly insane optimism about this team...talking about Super Bowls and such. I can't take anything he says seriously when he's delusionally optimistic like that.
  3. I could be picky and say he could've ditched Campbell instead of some of the other salary clearing moves he's made, but I imagine it's probably the case that he actually couldn't do that...
  4. The Haynesworth drama is good stuff. He's not even attempting the conditioning tests at this point.
  5. ESPN.com has "Camp Confidential" on the Bears today, and they don't seem too impressed with the secondary. Of course, that's with Harris out, and Wright not starting.
  6. This might be old, but I thought it was amusing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvFokICvrfQ&feature=player_embedded
  7. Back strain. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/07/chris-harris-exits-bears-practice-with-injury.html
  8. I'm confused what your point here is. Are you saying he should be somehow bound by the NSBB Guidelines? Yes, we wouldn't be cool if he had done something like that on the board, but big whoop...
  9. DJ Moore brought the important stuff....to watch film, ya know? http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55255365.jpg Johnny Knox http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55255367.jpg Rashied Davis...he's still on this team? http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55252323.jpg Patrick Mannelly http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55252268.jpg Frank Omiyale http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55250432.jpg Greg Olsen http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55252325.jpg Olin Kreutz and Chris Williams' back http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-07/55244725.jpg
  10. Good lord.... http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/07/lovie-says-bears-will-blitz-more.html
  11. Wow is right. Wouldn't wanna be his roommate.
  12. Yeah...at $4 million, that'd be $3.24 million to be at 81% of the award if my math is right.
  13. This is where things are interesting. There's really not a huge market for him out there. My best guess would be maybe San Jose clearing space for him, but I'm fairly certain there is a rule that if he signs for a deal that is something like 90% or less than the arbitrator awards, the Hawks can match that deal. So for example, he gets awarded $3.5mil and the Hawks walk away. He becomes a UFA and gets offered a $2.75 mil deal with San Jose. According to something I read the other day, I think the Hawks could match that. Unfortunately, I can't find where I read that. Good call... http://www.nhlfa.com/CBA/cba_agreement12.asp
  14. Just for hypotheticals here.... Lets say the arbitrator finds for Niemi. The Hawks say "no thanks", and Niemi becomes a UFA. The Hawks could still, in theory, work something out with him if his market ends up being a lot less than what he thinks, right?
  15. Hilariously obsucre source, but Matt Spiegel read a text on the Score earlier from a lady whose cousin is a dental hygenist that takes care of Rocky Wertz's teeth, and she said that according to Rocky, that Niemi wanted $4mil or he was going to arbitration.
  16. Good Rex Bad Rex...err...Jay.
  17. Regardless of the results of this season, I sure am looking forward to seeing Mike Martz's offense rather than Ron Turner's.
  18. I knew there was a mystery 911 call, but the rest of that is new info to me...yeah, that sounds like people he knew somehow.
  19. A shame. It's going to be interesting to find out if he knew his killers or not. Seems like there's been more and more robberies/attacks against professional athletes in the past couple/few years. The internet isn't that big of a place. Yeah, I mentioned him being missing in the Bulls thread too for some odd reason. But it's been on CNN.com this week too, so yeah....
  20. I didn't realize that Ogunleye hasn't signed with a team yet. Asking for too much I wonder?
  21. A shame. It's going to be interesting to find out if he knew his killers or not. Seems like there's been more and more robberies/attacks against professional athletes in the past couple/few years.
  22. Last year's preseason was a love fest....Cutler coming to save the day. This year, it's doom and gloom time. Our WR's suck, our QB sucks, our RB sucks.... It's just the way it works.
  23. Boers and Bernstein yesterday was amazing comedy. White Sox fans calling in and saying that Juan Pierre is better than Adam Dunn, and the subsequent screaming matches between them and Bernstein made for some winning radio.
  24. Carson Palmer also played only 4 games that season. I don't know the full situation...don't know exactly what his injuries were, or if he'd been playing through them or what, but that year clearly had some bad circumstances...and was a pretty clear abberation.
  25. Brenly was a coach under Dusty Baker on the Giants according to his wikipedia page.
