  1. Hahaha...Cards fans are such sensitive ninnies. Will Leitch says that none of them call themselves the best fans in baseball, then gives a self congratulatory list of 10 reasons why they might be the best fans in baseball... http://www.ksdk.com/rss/article/402171/6/A-Cardinal-Nation-history-lesson-for-Cardinals-haters
  2. Noah being shut down for a week. Still having groin issues.

  4. Yep. Not a great game for many Hawks, either.
  5. The media keeps talking Renteria and Martinez. Is Acta out of it?
  6. So Keith can't put a puck on goal unless its his own.
  7. Yes, we'll take a gift, thanks.
  8. I'd really like it is the Hawks would quit missing the goal entirely.
  9. Lol, Abbatacola is pretty whiny, but I can only imagine what he has to deal with.
  10. I would never define a sloppy game by just turnovers and dropped passes. That is putting all the slop on the skill position players that take the least amount of abuse on Sunday and therefore require the least amount of rest before the next game. That's just a silly way to look at it. It also ignores other aspects of even skill players "sloppiness"....of the top of my head, incompletions (bad QB throws, or poor route running), or poor running that doesn't result in turnovers.

  14. It was nice of you not to spew hockey hate on it.

  16. Hmm, I've never played fantasy basketball, but I'd give it a whirl.
  17. ESPN 980 radio promo in DC: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2013/10/16/espn-980-pokes-fun-at-jay-cutler/
  18. Ha, yeah I've been doing well for an autopick team! I have no idea who is who in this league, btw. I figured out Yahtzee is UK, but that's about it. The points in this league really hurt my brain.
  19. The deal existing is $10M...how much are they going to throw at the big league team to keep from losing even as much as half of that? To me, it's the bigger picture. The WGN TV deal is implicated in my mind. I'm as big a believer in Theo as anyone here, but if I'm negotiating against the Cubs, I'm certainly basing it off recent results and not the future. Does this mean we need to produce a 95 win team next year? No. But to keep people watching, they need to be more competitive obviously. Even a .500ish team with some youth showing up and helping at some point during the season is probably enough to help with the ratings a fair amount. But if you want WGN and/or Comcast to up the ante and give out the mega deal, it's not coming from the promise of future success. It's got to be further along in the process than where it currently is. Especially if they go the route of just Comcast, where you'd want them to tear up their current agreement, which is in place thru 2019. I don't think the Cubs are all that interested in WGN TV anyway.
  20. He was pretty damn fun to watch last night. Had it on in the background, and rewound every time Stacy King lost his mind. I'm gonna hold my breath every time Rose takes a tumble though. Dunleavy had a nice play or two though. He was cutting under the basket on a fast break without the ball, caught a high pass from Deng, and fed nicely to Boozer for an easy layup.
  21. lol, fun to see the common perception of the Bears. Redskins fans are fearful of the defense, but not fearful at all of Cutler or the Bears. http://es.redskins.com/topic/372333-redskins-vs-bears-prediction-thread-a-win-is-needed-badly/
  22. Through 6 games, the Bears have 8 sacks. 3 of those sacks are by players that are out for the season.
  23. I heard the word pantalones, so I confirm this translation.
  24. Overheard in the hallway on my way into work... Guy 1: "Well now we've lost two defensive linemen for the year...." Guy 2: "And a starting middle linebacker...." Guy 1: "Yeah, we lost the linebacker.....and I think that Josh Freeman would've been a better QB than Jay Cutler." Me: *walking away faster*
