Agreed. I lost my head for a few posts, but I am trying to get away from "That debate of better conference" back into what the Bears should do. Well kinda...except for the 2 times in your last post that you either implied the SEC was better than the Big Ten, or you mocked the Big Ten with a childish nickname. But yeah, other than that...
Yep. On the page to compose a PM, there's a "To" box on the left. Put as many usernames as you want, but put each on seperate lines. Then there's a button to add either to the "To" field or as a "Bcc". After clicking that, all of the users should be listed recipients.
Those links go to nsbb.com, which Tim hasn't gotten working yet after the server move. EDIT: Hmm...maybe not...I think it still has to do with the links being nsbb.com, but if it wasn't resolving, it wouldn't reload the home page like that.
Yeah...clogging the bases doesn't sound as bad in that instance...it's just unfortunate he used that wording because of the Baker association. Baker uses it to dismiss OBP, which is a far cry from what Lou did.
Seattle signed Julius Jones to a 4 year deal. The same team that signed TJ Duckett. John Clayton says this means that Shaun Alexander will be released, likely in the next week or two, because if he's traded it costs Seattle an extra $150k. I know he's getting older, and hasn't been as productive the last couple of years, but would he be worth taking a risk on?
My buddy argued with me about this big time...and lost. You only use select if you were playing 2 player. Then it's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select, start. The select was just to move the cursor from 1 to 2 players.
Dan Bernstein read a collection of new Dusty-isms this spring. He actually has used the "clogging the bases" line again this spring. EDIT: I posted the quote below.
I agree he was bad (although I was slow to come around on this one), but I'm not shocked he wasn't fired. The Bears never do everything I wish they'd do in the offseason, and other than replacing Turner, they've done most of what I wished so far. I'm not shocked, because they wanted Grossman back, so that meant Turner coming back. They aren't gonna try to have Grossman learn a whole new system. If the Grossman-Turner combo crashes and burns this season, and they have a newly drafted QB waiting in the wings, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent them both packing after this season. But that's getting way ahead of ourselves.
This is a very stupid post displaying an extreme lack of knowledge regarding NFL. this is a very stupid post. i know teams in the nfl can flop places quickly. but most of the meaningful free agents are already signed, and it was a thin free agent crop to begin with. given what the bears have done, or more accurately haven't done, how can you say that the bears are going to make up the gap on the packers in the next six months? please, enlighten us with another stupid post. So is the draft being skipped this year?
I didn't like the Salaam or Benson picks at the time they where made. Enis was really the only one that disappointed me. My point merely was that it's a position the Bears aren't so good at drafting in recent years.
The Bears drafting running back scares me. A lot. I have zero confidence that whatever decision that make with that position will be the correct one. Rashan Salaam, Curtis Enis, Cedric Benson...stop the madness!
On the Score this morning, they said "Score sources" had learned that the Brian Roberts deal would already be done, except that Angelos got involved. They can't even come up with creative rumors anymore. It's all stuff that's been said before!
Berrian said the Bears made a very competitive offer...it sounds like they tried to get him back. Given that that didn't happen, I'm thrilled with Briggs being back. Now sign Moss and Turner and I'll be happy.... :D
Am I the only one that has a really hard time watching spring training games? I watched until Woody gave up the homer, but I just couldn't keep interested.
I'm not the biggest fan of Lou...but that was the perfect reaction. I bet if they told Marquis he was free to opt out of his contract, he'd rethink the situation...heh.
