  1. Did you mean he was going to vote for Clinton? If the thinks Obama has a better chance of beating McCain, why would he vote Obama?
  2. [troll alert] What's the mid-fifteens?? [/troll alert]
  3. It's like multiple VH1's....they call them VHs.
  4. I'm talking about so that you don't see them. For instance, there are threads in social with 5 billion posts in them that I couldn't care less about. I'd think that, like other forums, there would be something you can click to make it not visible. It might even save bandwidth, and in turn, money. I asked about this a long time ago and at the time I don't believe there was a mod that did this. I don't know if that's changed.
  5. This thread makes me happy.
  6. http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/padres/20080208-9999-1s8padres.html Of course. The "soreness" doesn't start until Spring Training.
  7. 11000+ posts on a largely statiscal baseball message board, and talking about Star Wars and Star Trek is too geeky?
  8. So you'd either be a stormtrooper or a random rebel soldier?
  9. I'm really surprised you aren't a fan of this one. With all the extra traffic coming in from the other sports, there's bound to be a few posters that try to branch out into baseball... and they're all likely to be pretty ignorant about it to start. Think of all the helpless little whelps flailing around spastically and spouting off nonsense phrases while you pound them into submission with a wall of numbers. It'd be six different kinds of fantastic, minimum. Actually I don't think there will be extra traffic for the other sports. People come here first and foremost for Cubs talk. It's just that it's a large community with other shared interests. The football and other sports conversations had begun to dominate the Social forum though, and thus it was thought that separating it out would help. I think it's a bit too separated now though...people just don't want to go to another board to talk to the same people from this board about football. I'd be shocked if traffic increased.
  10. I'd just think an "Other Sports" forum in the same section as Social and Rants would be work fine. If that was too cluttered, we could subforum it even further.
  11. If I had a food replicator, and a holodeck in my house, I'd never leave. Ever. Did the food replicators ever make booze? Synthehol. Not alcohol.
  12. If I had a food replicator, and a holodeck in my house, I'd never leave. Ever.
  13. :club: :aikido: :duel: :flame: It's cheating, but I can do this all day. :D http://www.futurelooks.com/forums/images/smilies/nutkick.gif
  14. The ad at the very bottom stays for Premium users by request. Some Premium users requested an unobtrusive ad that they can click on to help Tim. If you're seeing others, then Tim will have to look into that.
  15. In all proportionally divided states (most democratic primaries) it goes like this... 35% of delegates are determined by the overall state vote. 65% are divided by voting districts. If a district has 4 delegates, and Candidate A gets like 59% of the vote, and Candidate B gets 41%, they each get 2 delegates. I believe 63% is the threshold where you get a bonus delgate... If a district has 5 delegates and the same scenario occured, the winner takes 3 and the loser takes 2. It's because of those scenarios that something like Nevada happens. Where one can win the overall popular vote, but the other can win the delgate count. I voted for the slight edge to Obama, as all the polls are starting to swing his way. But how are we measuring it? Delegates? Votes?
  16. All users can currently use that...Premium or non-Premium. It's in the user control panel. On the left side go to "friends and foes". Anyone listed as a "foe" will be ignored.
  17. Or should there be some qualitative measure added? Frankly, 100 "Hey, how ya doin'?" posts don't strike me as much of a qualification. Perhaps 100 or some other number would be the threshhold at which someone would be *considered* for All-Star status. I've set up "Special" ranks and ranks that are determined by the number of posts. The ranks by the number of posts are: Bench Player - 0 Posts Everyday Player - 25 Posts Veteran Player - 250 Posts All-Star - 1000 Posts I'm still trying to figure out a process for the Special Ranks (the only one I'll mention right now is HOF). I imagine that I'll have some nomination / voting process. Can't be right...I have 207 posts and am a role player? Not something I ever paid attention to quite frankly until I ran into this thread. Look up a couple of posts. The rankings have changed.
  18. Which one was that? It was the smiley running around in circles waving his hands around like a fool. EDIT: http://forum.pspdiscussions.com/images/smilies/colorful/willynilly.gif
  19. Uh...actually 6.... 8-[ :-"
  20. Actually, I still don't get the popup when I get a PM, even though it's selected in the user control panel. It's not a major issue, but since it was mentioned...
  21. TNG and Voyager for me. I watched DS9, but not as much as these two. I think DS9 mostly being in the same place didn't work for me.
  22. earmuffs What is so difficult to hear? The reason this country is in so much trouble is because the polititans are listening to their special interest groups who fund their campaigns and not to the American people for whom they serve. This goes for all parties. I think he was referring to the curse word you let slip out... [-X
