  1. Draw on 3rd & 20 and Oklahoma State picks up the first down. Yikes.
  2. So basketball on an aircraft carrier? What happens when it rains?
  3. Not really, there's almost no new info in this story. It's an excellent summary and this newspaper is one of the few that has journalistically done a good job with the story, but almost all of this stuff was reported previously. I meant it was damning in the sense that, if you're still a JoePa apologist after reading, you're an idiot lol
  4. Are you guys not discussing Sandy Alomar Jr. comparing statistical analysis to playing fantasy baseball?
  5. Junior Lake? Would they move him to 3B? I think we already have a SS on the big league club IIRC.
  6. http://i715.photobucket.com/albums/ww160/marianland/DAWSON%20GIFS/O-FACE.gif http://i39.tinypic.com/xqchsp.gif
  7. Can we not make this a thing? It's going to be difficult to stop with Theo running the show.
  8. I like this idea.
  9. I have no information to give you, but congrats and welcome to the board.
  10. You only think that because the uniform is on a white player, Racy McRacist.
  11. And wide collars?
  12. What a dumb thread.
  13. That whole scene last night was a huge embarrassment.
  14. shnsajax or any other longhorns here- What's up with Cameron Ridley? Saw this and was wondering if you've heard anything more. http://dallas.sbnation.com/2011/11/9/2550127/cameron-ridley-update-texas-basketball-recruiting
  15. Shhh, let them have their moment.
  16. Judging by some of those answers he may just be crazy enough to get Zambrano back to form. He could be Phil's Zen Master to Z's Rodman.
  17. I laughed. Well played, Mr. Maddux.
  18. In the end it doesn't really matter what any of us here think. If Theo decides that the best option is to give Z another shot, then I am completely fine with it. I still have my Zambrano jersey shirt in the closet along with my other Cubs gear. If he decides to trade him, then I am completely fine with that decision as well.
  19. You should put up with childish antics because these are a bunch of overgrown overpaid overly celebrated children playing a children's game. Who cares about childish antics? If it is counterproductive to the team winning games, then everyone should. The last time Zambrano's behavior cost the Cubs a game was 2006. And that's only because we were running Rob Bowen out there every other day rather than calling up Soto. I'll give him half-blame. So him being emotionally out of control on the mound has not caused him to pitch below his capabilities?
  20. You should put up with childish antics because these are a bunch of overgrown overpaid overly celebrated children playing a children's game. Who cares about childish antics? If it is counterproductive to the team winning games, then everyone should.
  21. Yes' date=' because the alternatives are worse. We're okay with childish antics if they help us win, remember? He helps us win. 1971 Ron Santo was a 2.7 WAR player. 2011 Carlos Zambrano was on pace for right about that when he was booted off the team.[/quote'] Admittedly I'm not a numbers geek like many people here, but is it fair to compare WAR from a third basemen to a pitcher? Against the lazy, racist Chicago media and hypocritical fans? You betcha. Well I guess you should put me on ignore then. In your eyes I am a hypocrite and my opinion is worthless.
  22. Even if he pitches exactly as he did in 2011, his worst season, he's still the third-best starting pitcher we have under contract, at worst. So we should put up with childish antics from someone who is an average starter in a below average rotation? And when things started to turn bad, they were all run out of town and labeled lazy, selfish, and clubhouse cancers. A fate that Ron "Sprewell" Santo, Ryne "Quitter" Sandberg and Mark "Drunky McDrunk" Grace all mysteriously avoided. You seem like you have an axe to grind.
