I imagine so Thanks. I didn't know how much discretion the umps have on that kind of stuff? Can they just assume it would be a double in that case? I mean it could have easily been a single or a triple (though probably not a single) depending on how it banged off the basket.

what would the call have been if that had been ruled interference? it was clearly going to hit the basket (IMO) so it's not like it would have been caught. Would they call it a ground rule double?

this post made me go and watch a career highlights video of vlad. thank you, kind sir. i was all about to be "this is my favorite non-cub player i think" but then manny ramirez highlight video autoplayed after the vlad video and the play he made when he high fived the boston fan in BAL and then turned around to finish the double play i think made my heart melt. so now i don't know. i guess i just love baseball. -

I think a bit of the "pessimism" here is more just people like me that like giving a little hell to you about your (seemingly) overly and out-of-the-blue optimism. Hey, if Hendricks can turn out to be what he is then there's always upside. Side note: I'll be watching MB again (hopefully a few times) here in about 3 weeks. I can't wait to see Eloy! I'll actually try to do a good job of "scouting" him (size, fielding, running etc.). Not that I'm a scout by any means but hopefully can report back how he "looks" in an overarching capacity. -
My daughter got drilled in the thigh in fast pitch softball and barely flinched. She has an apple sized bruise to show for it. That batter looks better suited for soccer I once got hit in the ribs by a pitcher named Michael Jackson in little league and he threw hard. Really hard. I only teared up a bit, I think. Who else has HBP stories?

If he felt it was out of line that she called him out about being a bad parent (and on that note I'm just assuming she did - I haven't looked into that much. But for the purpose of this post let's just say she did) then address that. He never did. He was completely dismissive and rude and it comes across IMO as completely sexist. I can't understand how anyone could see that as not being sexist. He could have addressed it either on-air or off-air but there's simply no excuse for that kind of behavior.
