    I think they might do it simply because they're ridding themselves of Manny's salary. They've made it perfectly clear they'd get rid of the contract for nothing in return in the past. Let's say for the moment that Boston would, if given the chance, get rid of Manny, getting nothing in return, just to get out from his contract. If this is true, why would they want to trade him to us, taking on 13 million dollars from us in the process? Manny @ 20 million is better than Wood/Patterson/Murton @ 13 million

    Is anyone even paying attention? No one is trying to take away your "right to boo", we're saying that it makes you look like a jack-ass when you do. "BOO HAWKINS, YOU SUCK! BOOOOOO! YOU WEREN'T AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE! BOOO!" It's childish and stupid. But, by all means, go ahead. Just dont get upset when those of us that are made to look like jerks because of your actions don't like it.

    wow, much worse than i thought. GREAT evidence against all those who talk about how great neifi is for a backup shortstop. this just show that he's not great at all. he's basically replacement level. Yeah right, something tells me that the people who think Neifi has been great arent exactly the kind of people that look at stats like VORP.

    Gotta love that sarcasm. Yes, you're right. That was the ONLY concern teams had. And the only reason the Red Sox wanted to dump him was his contract. Yup, it was. I think a lot people are wary of paying a LF 20 million a year, no matter how good he is.
