NO, they don't November 25, 2003: Derrek Lee traded by the Florida Marlins to the Chicago Cubs for Hee Seop Choi and Mike Nannini (minors). Sure, we got them once. They've gotten us twice. Yes, Florida owes us one. Let's start with that kid they have at 3B. Awww, cmon you aren't still sore about 6 finger and Clement for Willis, Tavarez, Ryan Jorgeson & Jose Cueto. Dontrelle was a late round pick, 8th round of the 2000 draft (223rd overall) at the time of the trade he had never pitched above High Class A and in the FSL which is a pitcher's league. thanx for the new info

Albert Pujols 2006 - .323/.449/.804/1.253 23 HR 57 RBI 37 BB 12 SO Age: 26 Miguel Cabrera 2006 - .335/.432/.599/1.031 8 HR 39 RBI 27 BB 30 SO Age: 23 Now, obviously, his numbers are not Albert Pujols numbers, exactly, but think about this. Miguel is 3 years younger. Miguel plays half his games in gigantic ballpark. He has 18 doubles, compared to Pujols who has 7. The scary thing, I think, for everyone, is that a.) Miguel is only 23, b.) he won't be a Marlin for much longer, which means that someday soon, the numbers he is putting up will actually start to matter and c.) being in a crappy lineup and getting pitched around all the time hasn't hampered him at all. He's not expading his zone, he's walking more and striking out less (68 BB 148 SO in 2004, 64 BB 125 SO last year, on pace for 97 BB 108 SO this year), and still hitting the ball hard when he gets a chance. Now, check this out. Miguel Cabrera's 2006 season, projected 335/.432/.599/1.031 29 HR 140 RBI 97 BB 108 SO (just for fun, 18 SB) Albert Pujols 2003 season, 23 years old. .359/.439/.667/1.106 43 HR 124RBI 79BB 65 SO He's good. Organization changing good. Whoever gets him from the Marlins is going to be really lucky.

You're picking arbitrary groups of games to make it seem like there's improvement...there's not. They're undefeated in their last 1 game. that means there's a 100% chance of them winning tonight

Anybody else think this "retirement" is abit premature? I'm willing to say...withint 2 yrs...Alex Gonzalez...will be back playing MLB. To me...Gonzalez didn't retired...he quit. huh

Whoa, come on now. A bad manager, yes. A rotten human being, no. He's supposed to be a leader of men, yet his actions show him to be in reality a spineless, doubletalking twit. Dusty is pathetic. He's pathetic as a manager, not as a person. That was my (and others') point. I really don't understand it when you do this. I've read you post like this multiple times. JR is saying that Baker is a pathetic person (opinion) you are saying that he isn't (also opinion), yet for some reason, you feel inclined to pass yours off as fact while dismissing someone else's. What makes your opinion the truth in this instance?
