  1. Yep, #10 pick. C'mon Commish! Uh, what I meant to say was...good pick Raw.
  2. Uh, Plaxico.
  3. pearl jam v pink floyd might be a contest
  4. Pfft, play MLB2K6. In the little dialog that goes on while the game is loading, if you're playing as the Cubs, every once in awhile the announcers will mention that the Cubs struggled last year because they were last in the National League in walks.
  5. I had Roy targeted for my third pick, I was really surprised to see him go that early, though he should be a strong wideout this year.
  6. A lot of problems with that. First off, Pattersons "blossoming"? Corey Donald Patterson is at .278/.315/.426 on the year. The steals are nice...if you're in fantasy baseball. He's 14th out of 20 qualified CFers. Eric Patterson is 23, he strikes out too much and walks too little. I'm not too excited about his status as a prospect.
  7. Scott, I think that literally your brain may not work correctly. Let's make a prediction. Lots of people die in the middle east due to this war stuff. That doesn't mean that I want a lot of people to die, it just means that it is likely that they will.
  8. Your thoughts on Bush and Addai were the same as mine. Droughns is an interesting guy. He's going to get yardage and if he gets the scores, he'll be good. I looked at him at the times I made both my Dillon and McAllister picks. I'm taking a huge risk with those two, but I like to have a stable of RB's. I'll see how it works out. Droughns was the top rated guy consistently in the mocks that I saw for the RBs that were available. I was worried about his long-term prognosis and Cleveland's offense (or lack thereof). But I debated between him, Dunn, and Bush. I went with Bush because of the keeper league factor. Yeah, I'm at a weird point, really, as my keepers are probably set for the next few years. Manning, Cadillac and Jackson should be first rounders for awhile, barring injury.
  9. I really thought a lot about Bush, seeing as how he usually goes in rounds 2 in 3 in all the mocks I've seen. I'm just worried about him getting scoring chances in the Saints offense, I think he's going to get his points off of yards and not scores. Addai is another guy that I was targeting, but the more I read about him teh more it looks like he's platooning with Rhodes, at least for awhile. I'm concerned about him not being a starter until half of the season is over. I can't decide if I like my Droughns pick, to tell you the truth. He's going to get hsi yards, but man, only 2 scores last season. If he bumps that up to 7 or 8, and gets 1200 yards again, he'll be ok as my flex guy. I saw him go as the second pick in the third round of an experts draft, so I guess it should work out. Torry Holt is a pick of mine that I am stoked about. I can't believe he wasn't protected, to tell you the truth. That same Experts draft saw Holt get picked 6th in the second round, he's a solid WR1, which is something I didn't have last year.
  10. These guys are pretty even for me, but I voted for the Peppers because Stadium Arcadium is such a good album
  11. I went with Green Day. I like Pearl Jam, but the Dookie/Insomniac era was too good to deny. Panic Song is still in regular rotation on my Ipod.
  12. Poor shot selection is something they can work on all year long in practice, it's not like he's going to be getting a lot of shots in the Bulls lineup anyway. As long as he's playing tough D and rebounding (which it sounds like he does in his sleep) he'll be perfect.

  15. also, i'm not sure which one is the apples and which one is the dog turds
  16. this is like comparing apples and dog turds
  17. Bronson Arroyo: I'll have a shot of jack. Bartender: Sorry man, we're out of the small shot glasses Bronson Arroyo: ****, how about a double?
  18. Dusty couldnt break him, so god took it into his own hands
  19. I dont think there is a perfect way to determind HFA, to tell you the truth. Say that some year the Dodgers win 100 games in a weak NL West, and the White Sox win 99 in a tough AL Central. The Dodgers should get HFA because of their easier schedule?
  20. Thanks for the numbers. The Phillies never thought of putting Sandberg there and since the Cubs have Patterson at 2nd behind him maybe that's the reason. I just want the Cubs to plug in some strong players from the minors and not just fillers. I think if Moore could do it he could be a very good numbers wise hitting 2nd baseman. That would make it just one less hole for the Cubs to fill. That's what I'm saying. How old is Epatt? He has to be at least 22 or 23 and his ops is around, what, 75 points lower than Moore's? If Moore could hack it there defensively, he probably would be already.
  21. None of those stats you presented for comparison have a darn thing to do with what he can do defensively. They say he probably won't be the hitter Sandberg was, and I doubt anyone would argue otherwise, but they do absolutely nothing to support your saying that he probably couldn't shift to second. Wouldn't his sub .850 ops at third base work a lot better at second? If he could play second, he'd probably already be there. Besides, Cuse asked me how their numbers stacked up. Aren't there some spelling errors around here that need correcting?
  22. Just a quickie Moore as a 22 and a half year old in AA .278/342/.488 Sandberg as a 22 year old in the Majors .271/.312/.372 Sandberg's AA numbers as a 20 year old .310/.403/.469 I doubt Moore has the athleticism or glove to play 2nd professionally. If he did, why wouldn't they have tried him over there where his less than overwhelming bat (for a 3B) would be more adequate?
