    Glendon Rusch is the kind of guy that you really like to see making a lot of money pitching for one of your rivals.

    The issue with that is, you pick a neutral site, let's say Phoenix, in advance. Then, you wind up with a Seattle/NY world series. So the teams finish up the LCS, then fly to Phoenix for 1 day, then fly to NY for 2, then Seattle, then NY and back to Seattle. It's impossible. You can't start with 1 and end with 1 and 1. The NBA went 2-2-1-1-1 at one point (and may still do) with no problems. I know the NHL still does 2-2-1-1-1 for the Stanley Cup. Wouldn't be an issue for the WS. It just adds a couple extra off days. So then with all those off days you're ok with the World Series lasting well into November? Oh god I know, END OF THE WORLD. I AM SO NOT OK WITH THAT, YOU LISTENING MR BUD $ELIG

    for the reading impaired. i said nothing of non-conference play. discuss I think he's saying that the big 10 beating up on itself doesn't mean as much as the SEC beating up on itself because the big 10 teams lost to terrible teams out of conference. It's not like those losses don't count anymore.

    Adrian Peterson is my god. I'm finding it really hard not to root for him to torch my Cowboys. I've never been so conflicted over a sporting event since the Denver/San Fran Superbowl back when I was 8. I loved John Elway and Joe Montana so equally.

    I love the movie mean girls. It took me a while to be able to publicly admit that, but who cares, I love it. Oh yeah, no one else thinks its funny that there is a forum for mods and whoever to sit around and make fun of other posters? The next time Meph gets banned, think about that for a second.

    No skepticism at all. While I am sure that there is value to what you posted (and that the math is correct) I read that there are conclusions that are based on opinions of the stats presented. Certainly it is an interesting opinion and one that has merit but not any more merit then the scout that has been working in baseball for 30 years. i would treat both opinions the same, very credible. But I would also draw my own conclusions based on the information that both situations offer. You go ahead and ask a scout to give you some power rankings and I bet this model would be more accurate. I don't think you're paying attention to what this thread is about. Come to think of it, why did you even mention scouts in the first place? Because of all the math? Jesus.

    I don't believe they can. I think I read somewhere that there was a clause in his contract that stated the Reds can't deal him until sometime in June if they picked up his option. Edited to add: This is where I saw it: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/10/dunns-option-li.html Its a no trade clause until June 15th. I'm sure by spring training he'll be wanting to get as far away from Dusty as possible. If Dunn signed/filed the appropriate paperwork, would he be able to get that lifted, or is that a Player's Union thing? It can be waived by the player.

    How do you figure that Soriano and Lee were more valuable than Ramirez this year? Magic! No seriosuly Derrek Lee had a higher VORP than Aramis this year as well as being a better defender and Soriano was a +20 defender give or take. When you say +20, does that mean he saved 20 runs?

    I'd wager it's a near certainty that one already exists. ?? I have Premium and I see no "Premium-only Forum" I didn't mean to imply that you buy premium and you're granted access to the forum, just that there is probably a hidden forum on here that's invite only. There hasn't been a message board in existence that hasn't had one.

    Unfortunately for this thread, you dont need a stat for this, you can tell who is G.R.I.T.tier if you just watch the games.
