  1. here comes hinske, another stud that got away
  2. How close was that to going out?
  3. The point was your attempt to characterize it as similar to watching HRs holds no water. swing and a miss
  4. Expecting people to like watching soccer is like expecting people to enjoy Dostoyevsky. Most people are just too simple.
  5. that includes you CRAP EVERYONE THATS NOT ME omc hurt his arm jerking off, the end
  6. If Z is injured, everyone who posted in this thread should probably just kill themselves irl
  7. You expected anything less from today's Cubs? They finally remembered what team they are. Lee's head is so far up his ass right now that I doubt a team of proctologists could remove it. If you ever want to quit your job at Wal-Mart you would make a great sports columnist.
  8. This. I don't "hate" Carlos or think he's done, but his tendency to lose it when his fielders make an error or don't come through on a borderline play is annoying. Then he throws his tantrums and accomplishes nothing and his team is in the hole. It's frustrating and aggravating, but please, IMB!, keep completely making up what people are saying. Those quotes all came in the last three pages. Go back, read them and then tell me that I made something up (you can't).
  9. He's giving up repeated opposite field singles that aren't "leaking" through. oh god i know, people are just crushing those opposite field singles. I'm surprised a couple of those 130 foot bloops havent gone over the fence. He was pitching for contact and trying to a get a double play ball basically the entire inning and you guys are acting like it's just blast after blast after blast. It's embarrassing. It's not embarassing. He had an incredibly sheety inning and we're commenting on said sheety inning. What are we supposed to do, tip our caps and nod politely and go about discussing the day's news ticker? "OH GOD SEASON OVER THANKS ALOT ZAMBRANO GO THROW A TANTRUM HE SUCKS THANKS LOU IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR HIM TO BE AN ACE EVERY GAME FOR 6 MONTHS" those are all things that were said while the Rays got lucky and strung a bunch of crap singles together. It's sad that people like to rationally discuss baseball before and after a game but during it they revert to acting like morons.

  11. He's just giving up crap singles that are leaking through. You guys are so dramatic.
  12. Amen. Finest pitcher in Guthrie, Okla. history.
  13. why don't you go cry about it on some crappy cardinals website yeah i said it
  14. Everyone's fighting over headlines. cbs.sportsline.com and espn.com both used "Garden Party", Yahoo and Sporting News both used Boston Massacre. I went with "Boston Stranglers", suck it everyone else
  15. LOL what in the hell. yes, that list ranks ken holland, the GM of the most successful franchise in hockey, behind isiah thomas. It's not even that, which is mind-boggling enough, but when you see a list like this with McHale in front, you have to assume that it's in reverse order
  16. wouldn't every team just use the pitcher as their designated fielder and use a batter in his place?
  17. LOL what in the hell.
  18. i just hope we can beat sonnenstine
  19. For all the crap we've given him, Jim Hendry is probably in the top 25% of GMs.
  20. You're joking, right? Joking, no. Forgetting when Sundberg played for the Cubs, yes. is this a joke?
  21. i wanted to sign this dude in the first place
  22. juan cruz for mike lowell, you must be kidding
  23. For his career, Jordan shot 33% from 3. That is not a "weakness". That is actually not a bad percentage. Tiger has hit less than 60% of his fairways. In 2006, he finished 139th on Tour. In 2007, he finished 152nd. In 2008, he isn't even in the top 200. Tiger tees off like MJ hit curve balls. Now THAT would be accurate. 33% is Devean George. MJ had Devean George's three-point game. He shot 3s like Keith Bogans. What a strength.
  24. Tiger tees off like MJ shot 3s. Jordan had a weakness but he got past it by being much better than everyone else at everything else. George Muresean was terrible at everything about basketball. He was tall, the end. When Daly wasn't drunk and hungover and more concerned with gambling than golf, he actually won a couple of majors. He had one glaring strength to his game - power. Guess who that sounds like?
