  2. maybe you should purchase this fine site http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com/
  3. have you not seen the Cubs ineptitude at hitting good right handed pitchers enough Team OPS versus right handed pitching: 1) St. Louis .796 2) Chicago Cubs: .793 There's a difference between right handed pitching overall and top right handed the pitchers (the type you face in the playoffs). Two straight years we have been swept because we couldn't hit very good right handed pitchers. And this just in Abreu is a much better hitter than Fontenot. WE JUST HAD THIS DAMN TOPIC AND PROVED THAT THE CUBS AREN'T ANY WORSE THAN ANYONE ELSE AT HITTING GOOD STARTING PITCHING!!! YOU KNOW WHAT TEAMS HIT GOOD STARTING PITCHING CONSISTENTLY??? NONE BECAUSE IT'S GOOD STARTING PITCHING!!!!!! It's like people think there are teams out there that OPS 1200 against the best of the best and somehow don't score 1400 runs a season. http://photos-022.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v237/143/78/20718022/n20718022_36214643_3947.jpg why **** are you posting my personal pictures especially when they serve no purpose whatsoever mods I don't appreciate someone going onto facebook finding a pic of me and putting it on a thread for no reason you put it in the personal pictures thread

  13. Orioles desperately want Tex, they'll go after him first. I'm no good at the transactions department. My brain doesn't work that way very good. I never submit trade ideas. You are right about Tex I'd think. However, in theory, that trade idea wouldn't be a bad one, right? it might be something they might be willing to do, but only if they strike out on teixiera. and if they whiff on him, that means that either we haven't signed him - in which case we won't be dealing lee - or that we have signed him, in which case lee suddenly has no trade value.
  14. i was covering a high school baseball state tournament a while back. the team had played over its head and made a deeper run than they should have, they were all freshmen or sophomores for the most part and the coach had been diagnosed with cancer during the offseason. it was a smallish community that had kind of rallied around this team and it made for a nice story. but they got crushed in the end - i cant remember if it was the finals or not - but anyway, having to go out there and interview everyone was the worst time i've had as a reporter. there were so many tears they probably didn't have to water the field after the game.
  15. http://brahsome.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/morrison-crying-at-the-tournament1.jpg i think raising just b his l in his ps
  16. where are these people? All over this board. The man love for Dunn on this board exceeds that for every player in the league whose first name doesn't start with Geo. since when does that = saying he's just a small step behind pujols? that's stupidity there's demand for him on this board because he's lh, gets on base, hits for power has seemingly been on the trade block for the last few seasons and is underrated not because he's a "small step behind pujols", give me a break
  17. I didn't realize there are professional authorities on how to deal with a loss, and that they know of the only correct way to deal with a loss. I didn't realize that people's emotions are all wired same exact way. I also didn't realize that it is other people's missions to let inform people of this one and only way to emotionally react to situations. Luckily these professionals all reside on this forum. Once you have trained the masses here, we can finally be assured that everyone thinks and acts the same so we can have some interesting and lively discussions. what does this have to do with anything? you said that acting calm about a baseball team's loss is more embarrassing than acting like a child. which is stupid. I was indirectly responding to everyone who acts like they are superior to people who outwardly show their emotions by pretending like they are the rocks of emotional stability. And actually its not just that, I don't even mind that, its easily dismissable. It's the fact that they need to point itout every single time. We're not going to agree on this IMB! so lets just drop it. pretending? you're delusional.

  19. yes, it's more embarrassing to deal with a baseball team's loss like an adult
  20. if we get rid of cedeno, who is our backup ss? (hopefully theriot)
  21. I know I know, I'm definitely overreacting to the photos. I just can't get over the fact that the players typically care about the results less than we do. Plus pretty much everything Soriano has done since the regular season ended has pissed me off. I mean why should he care, he makes $18 million a year, cheats on his wife whenever he wants, can pretty much buy whatever he wants, and has the next 4 months off basically (obviously he'll be working out and stuff). Have you honestly not smiled since Saturday? Of course I have. But not to anything Cubs related. Just because Soriano is a Cub doesn't mean he's smiling to anything Cub related. I just think its odd that while coming to Wrigley Field, making his first public appearance since a disastrous postseason (both for himself and the team) he is seen yucking it up like he doesn't have a care in the world. I would guess having millions of dollars to fall back on would do that to you. Again, I'm overreacting, I know, it just strikes me the wrong way. And honestly, if it doesn't make some of the comments he made after the game, I probably don't think twice about the photos. I'm probably taking the photo well out of context though. get a grip, jesus
