Tonight isn't 100 percent a must-win. i'm going to probably throw up on myself if we lose, but it's not the end of the world. even with a loss, we'll have three pitching matchups in our favor, LA is basically tailor-made for Lilly and you know that Lou will leave Harden out there in game three for as long as he can if he's effective. That sends it back to chicago for a game 5 with either zambrano or dempster on the mound, against Billingsley (? assuming Lowe pitches game 4 on short rest) and as much as I love Billingsley, with the home field advantage that's basically a 50/50.

that was easily my favorite, just because of the inflection he put behind it, like he thought a foot was really, really minute. "By a foot AT MOST!" best part of the night that wasn't dero's home run

Fukudome didn't play bad tonight. He wasn't the reason the Cubs lost. I agree. He made a nice play in RF and had a hard hit ball to third that I thought should have been ruled a base hit. It wasn't a great game, but he wasn't terrible either. At the plate, he was asolutely terrible. He was swinging at garbage all night long. he had one bad at bat, worked a 3-2 count and grounded out, had a should have been hit that was ruled an error and then another groundout that i dont remember much. i dont like him either but i think you're overstating things.

i really just can't figure out what derosa was doing so far down in the lineup i mean, it kind of worked out, but fukudome in the no. 2 is a real headscratcher.

Are you seriously comparing last year's team to this year's team? Yeah, no point in reading your posts anymore. It's called cognitive dissonance. Anything that doesn't agree with your preconceived notions can be discarded without consideration. He'll, I'll do you one better: 9-20 in playoff games since WWII. Fluke? the cubs haven't been very good since wwII are you trying to say there are ghosts in wrigley or something because otherwise i don't get it and we had a priest in the dugout today anyway They were the better team in at least three playoff series off the top of my head, maybe four. Didn't help. yeah but i don't get what you're attributing it to is what i'm saying
