    Didn't the ref knock it off? Cutler had his helmet on the top of his head and the ref knocked it off. Time was called or the play was dead regardless. no, the play was live, cutler and the ref were watching the clock rundown so they could call a timeout. it was favoritism and bs plain and simple

    mccoy and tebow have track records of actually being good at football. they also play at schools that are good at football, which helps in a heisman race.

    i was really pinning my "beat usc" hopes on Cal, so this game is disconcerting. Also, maybe this has been covered, but what is up with UW being a trendy pick over USC today? I've heard at least 10 people on different TV and radio shows say it. WASHINGTON DIDNT WIN A GAME LAST YEAR.

    And he won't be the 1st reciever taken in 2010. Right. It's a weak receiver class overall, but at this point wouldn't you rather have Dez Bryant? And even if somehow Crabtree was the No. 1 receiver taken, it's a very strong draft class, so he might not get picked until later in the first, anyway.

    Crabtee is fucked anyway. If he holds out all year he gives up a year of $ for the right to get drafted in a lower spot in 2010 and hold basically no leverage. What is he going to do next year with whoever drafts him's offer? He can't refuse, he has to accept because he can't miss two years and everyone knows that. If he skips 2 years, he'll be a second round pick at best. He's a moron and whoever is his advisor is a moron.

    I'd go McFadden. You're already going to get 20-25 carries from Grant, guaranteed. Why not try to hit a home run with your second back? All it will take is one good play for McFadden to rip of a 60-yarder. I think he'll gash KC's defense.

    we didn't have aaron miles in 2005 Lee doesn't have Miles batting 1 or 2 everyday. In 2005 they were 14th and 12th in the NL in terms of OBP from the 1 and 2 spots (.299 and .314). This year they are 12th and 4th, at .327 and .350. It not great, but it's much much better. i think he was joking that aaron miles is a garden gnome.

    I was really sick of FJM by the time they retired. Maybe "sick" isn't the right word, but it seemed played out, like it was the same spiel over and over. Which it probably was and that's probably why they retired in the first place But they're killing it today, really enjoying it a lot.

    i use the newest firefox at home and ie8 at work, but it happens at both places i usually just type northsidebaseball.com and go to the front page and check out the sweet tim avatars and then hit the messageboard from there
