  1. Mckennie needs to get right. Pulisic got a lot of attention for his lack of form but it was coming in 10 minute garbage time appearances. Wes is sucking ass every week as a starter against weaker competition. At least you can squint and say pulisic isn’t actually out of form he’s just got getting a run in the squad. Wes just sucks right now for Juve and the US. Juve is a mess right now of course
  2. i just want to warn everyone that we're about to have to deal with 6 months of "just go get chapman and make him a starter" from tom. prepare yourselves accordingly.
  3. boehly will get him under control at chelsea in january
  4. guys like mbappe will always be conflicted at PSG. his personality aside, i bet it's driving him nuts to see all the attention on haaland because he plays in a real league
  5. Draymond is such a piece of horsefeathers. He can do all the image rehab he wants with his podcast and whatever but he’s just a piece of horsefeathers

I started back up last year after not playing since my kids were born. My shoulders are held together by dollar store duct tape (not even lowe's or home depot duct tape.) Still worth it.
  7. i was curious, so i looked it up. In 2001 Bonds hit 1.3% of all homers in the major leagues. This year Judge has hit 1.2% of all homers in the major leagues.
  8. Seemed like any time they did overload one side and overlap, they would get at least an average cross in and no one would be home (or it would take so long in the build up that there were 7 defenders+the keeper by the time the ball got in the box) the front line was just weird, Reyna is on the left wing when he's better in the middle of the field and pulisic is way more comfortable on the left than the right? Weston hasn't been impactful, Adams and Acosta don't need to be 2/3 of the midfield together. I know some of these selections were forced or whatever but yeah, i would have really liked to see our best XI out there together at least once this calendar year but what can you do
  9. boy there is just no urgency on these passes whatsoever. so hard to break down a defense when you take 4 seconds before settling for a back pass
  10. maybe he had the poops. regardless, im taking his world cup jersey out of the cart again
  11. Those giants uniforms were real nice
  12. twice! crazy end
  13. boy the midfield was ass this morning
  14. Reus looks to have taken a serious-ish injury, reyna gonna get a lot of run pepi goal in the eredivise
  15. Ali express won’t even bootleg it because the real version is below their sweatshop standards
  16. i have put a gio shirt in the cart like 17 times but i always back out because im waiting to see how debilitating his inevitable early november hamstring injury will be, same for pulisic
  17. So AL MVP ... Judge 302/408/684 55 HR 9.2 fWAR Ohtani 267/356/536 33 HR 3.5 fWAR, 11-8 181 K in 136 innings 4.4 fWAR (7.9 fWAR total) my first instinct is that Judge probably gets it based on the ding dongs and the Yankees superior record, but man Ohtani is such a freak, and even providing 1 or 2 fWAR less might even out considering he opens up a roster spot by being a two-way guy?
  18. you had me at die
  19. i kinda wonder at times if TAA just needs to move on. He's way too talented to be so disinterested, his attacking is still strong but he never seems to be in the right place defensively. He's won literally everything at Liverpool, maybe it's all just stagnant there. Salah is taking a lot of blame this year too but he's working with a whole new frontline essentially. You just can't keep the same XI out there for 5 years running and think the trophies are going to keep coming. Things get stagnant fast at the top
  20. Euro soccer fandom and journalism is just so crazy to my american eyes and ears. I guess on some level i can understand fans being upset with the sudden nature of the firing and it being a guy who led an average looking team to a sudden turnaround and a deserved champions league trophy but I am struggling to come up with any reason why you wouldn't fire tuchel. Give me one reason outside of the champions league win to justify keeping him? i was watching some commentary today and people were melting down about Boehly like he personally fired tuchel because he would accept a ronaldo transfer. It's just stupid. These commentators were like, "sure, potter makes more sense for chelsea from a development standpoint, and tuchel had by all accounts checked out and pissed off all the players, but you can't just fire him before matchday 10!" well, why not? Have you watched a single chelsea match in the last 12 months?
  21. yeah VVD is 31, had an ACL and has played a billion games the last 5 years.
  22. yeah i mean, let's see. poor results last 50 matches, team is getting overrun in european comps, tuchel lost the locker room and he's playing players out of position, and cost the team $100m because of how he (not all his fault) handled the Lukaku situation. You have a new ownership group who he has a falling out with, just like he did at dortmund and PSG. Now he's checking out mentally, might as well pull the plug, especially if you think your target is available. When chelsea hired Tuchel I remember thinking wow, how is a guy with this resume still available? The first comment I read was from someone who said "he'll win games early and then burn out, piss ownership off and be gone." Looks about right. would have been a hell of a lot better to get their guy in may but . . . another well run club is Ajax. If Man U gives Ten Hag time and money, I think they will be relevant again soon. i think so too, they were patient with oli without the results outside of one hot stretch down the end of the 20-21 season (iirc) no reason not to be patient with a guy who actually knows how to coach
  23. While I was surprised, it sounds like Boehly didn't like him and I think it's a good move. yeah i mean, let's see. poor results last 50 matches, team is getting overrun in european comps, tuchel lost the locker room and he's playing players out of position, and cost the team $100m because of how he (not all his fault) handled the Lukaku situation. 24. it's truly remarkable sometimes how awful a billion dollars can look on the pitch
  25. chelsea STOP SIGNING DEFENDERS you cant win 0 to negative-1
