As a Cubs fan, I can only think of a few times where we had a pitcher that was so dominant that I woke up excited on the days they started because I knew the Cubs were going to win that game. Second half 2003 Prior and Second half 2015 Arrieta are really in a class of their own. I never would have imagined that he'd be out of baseball 2.5 years later i remember his first start against the pirates. I watched it with a friend, then we went to a party and interrupted it to watch the highlights on sportscenter lol

I think this holds true for most people, but some people certainly know they're evil and what they're doing is evil. Putin knows he's an horsefeathers, the "bad guy" and he simply doesn't care. Same thing with Trump. Nah, these dudes are narcissists. They know that they’re doing wrong, but in their mind, it’s for the greater good and one day they’ll get the praise they deserve. Bauer’s just a creep, along the lines of Armie Hammer, who thinks that since there’s no law against sexual deviance, so long as it’s consensual-ish, he must be in the right. yes. every guy knows someone like bauer, whether from high school or college, or a mid-20s professional job. someone who thinks women are disposable, you just treat them however and they either like it or you move on to the next one the difference here is that bauer is a mega rich professional athlete, so his narcissism is more entrenched and dangerous

Imagine reading a news story about a murderer and then thinking, "cripes, it's like a guy can't even be a murderer these days!!!" Extreme example, but like you said, who the horsefeathers reads about what Bauer was accused of and what he admitted to and then worries that they might be next? Apparently waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more horsefeathering people than I want to even think about. you say "extreme example" buuuut .... kyle rittenhouse. that has already happened!

exactly this plus, and i meet these guys on the regular because Oklahoma, "we can't know the facts in this case, and society is increasingly siding with the accusers, creating a slippery slope where before long it won't be safe to be a straight white male."
