  1. if youre that addicted to a free one, just get FM. You're going to end up there anyway.
  2. that mexico hat is nice
  3. better player and goat are too different things lebron is better than jordan, i just dont see anyway around that. but the goat debate is about record, and jordan was 6-0 in the finals, killed all of his enemies ... it's more than just looking at win shares or PER. Jordan's resume is unmatched, that's why he's the goat.
  4. Finished 9th in my first season in Serie A
  5. shhhh let boehly cook
  6. mudryk enzo malo gusto madueke Joao Felix no team i've ever rooted for has done anything like this lmao
  7. I've been talking about this in the video game thread, but people would probably get more out of it here Short background - I started a save on Football Manager 23 with AC Trento 1921, a team in Serie C. My payroll was less than 3 million my first year and I often had fewer than 500 fans at my games. My ill-fated first-year plan was to throw all my energy at the Serie C Cup, which I thought would bring me some income, then try to develop some youth players. I ended up winning the Serie C tournament (one game I had like 70 fans lol) but i would literally get $9k in prize money each round lol, so it wasnt lucrative. I managed to win the league too and get promoted to Serie B in my first year, which i thought was good, but my board invested no funds, my stadium and facilities were bad and none of my players developed. I managed to stay up my first year, finishing 16th. A 13th place finish the next year allowed me to start bringing in some decent loans. I finished sixth in 2027/28, which ended with a board takeover and a small payroll bump. I literally rose from 16th to 6th with a 3 million payroll. In 28/29, with upgraded youth facilities and a $4million payroll, I finished 4th, made it to the promotion playoff finals, eventually losing 5-2 on agg. In that time I abandoned my youth development plan (which might be back on now that my facilities are upgraded) and focused on buying decent players on free transfers, putting them in the first team and then selling them for profit. That, combined with a sale of my best midfielder to Stuttgart, gave me my first-ever $1 million transfer budget and a $9 million payroll. I bought a striker i had loaned from AC Milan and got a couple of very good wingers on loan. Even though I lost my best midfielder, I was able to re-invest. It's 2030 and with 8 games to go, I'm in second place, 10 points clear of third, which puts me in automatic promotion. 4 wins probably seals a top two finish for me. It's the most fun thing I've ever done in a management sim. It's crazy to watch the leagues evolve and see where players end up, etc. If anyone has anyone they want me to look up for them, I will. Im too poor to scout most of the big players but I can tell you how they're doing Netherlands won the 22 cup England won the 26 cup The 30 cup kicks off in 3 months.
  8. lol amazing
  9. what am i missing? they're desperate for RB depth

    Golf thread

    lmfao
  11. maybe the article said they were literally kicking his tires because they hate him
  12. I feel like Boehly reads those "chelsea monitoring so and so" [expletive] pink slime transfer stories and goes "first im hearing of this! better get the money together!"
  13. joao felix looked great in his 60 minutes today. flying around, trying cheeky megs and backheels. great synergy with havertz. Really felt positive about it. Didn't go over 60 minutes though because he got a straight red for a two-legged challenge. Love to be a chelsea fan
  14. it was bad enough that i guess they pulled the trigger on joao felix, so it was worth it if they're gonna have ANY hope whatsoever of getting back into the top 4 picture, they needed to go out of the FA cup as early as possible to avoid those late-season midweek games. I think 538 has them at 9 percent now (lower than brighton lol) Is that right? It will be fun to see Joao play in a less negative environment. Seems like a good fit. until they stick him at RWB
  15. that game was so one sided . . . it was bad enough that i guess they pulled the trigger on joao felix, so it was worth it if they're gonna have ANY hope whatsoever of getting back into the top 4 picture, they needed to go out of the FA cup as early as possible to avoid those late-season midweek games. I think 538 has them at 9 percent now (lower than brighton lol)
  16. this is USL horsefeathers baby https://twitter.com/CFCsani/status/1612130134923923459
  17. there's a legitimate argument that chelsea need to replace their entire midfield and all three attacking spots. how does that happen at a club that size
  18. im still perplexed. he did a spinaroonie meanwhile cucurella horsefeathering SUCKS. genuinely do not see what they saw in him, and they even paid the $60m for him BEFORE they brought in his old manager, who still can't get anything out of him.
  19. you know how guys retire from international soccer in their 30s? pulisic should just retire from club soccer and focus on the national team.
  20. gregg can't come back right
  21. i know everyone is telling the version of the story that is most favorable to them so you gotta take it all with a grain of salt, but i will say that danielle reyna's statement to the athletic seemed a little more believable to me than straight up helicopter parents trying to take down the coach who wouldn't play their son ultimately, if gio just keeps his head down, it will all come out in the wash, but all the drama needs to stop now, for his sake
  22. so it was claudio and his wife, as expected, who dropped the berhalter stuff. hopefully this doesn't affect Gio's role in the squad longterm ... he fucked up because he's a kid, there's no excuse for how the adults are handling this stuff
  23. i horsefeathering knew this horsefeathers was gio related
  24. Well he said he was going to retire with Dignity, so I can only assume one of the 11 starters on that club is named Dignity. one of the DPs
  25. the sporting KC links is the funniest thing about this. he was really thinking about it? Kansas City? I mean I love KC but im poor.
